They have GREAT benefits, medical/dental is unmatched.

      Cons

Depending on the supervisor you won't get feedback until you are closed to fired and they want to give you another chance.

      Pros

Great benefits, they are always hiring within the company so many options to move around within the company. Opportunity to work from home

      Cons

working in the call center the most important thing to us reps is having a system that works, a lot of the times its slow, crashes, and always submitting tickets, it can cause calls to be a little more difficult.

VSP is a great place to get some valuable experience and learn a lot.

      Pros

Relaxed workplace. At times can be a lot of fun. Great benefits. Lots of free classes on improving your skill set. Good work-life balance.

      Cons

VSP is not known for paying their employees fair market value. There are a lot of huge egos in upper management. The company is so big that there is a lot of redundant work going because communication is poor between different lines of business. You can say that about most large corporate environments though.

I have been able to earn a good living by providing excellent customer service to members and doctor's offices.

      Pros

Great benefits, competitive wages, excellent 401K, wonderful co-workers, small company that went global about 4 years ago--currently building a presence in several other countries. Many locations in the US.

      Cons

VSP expects excellence at all times; if you care and are consistently excellent, you will do well here. There are many opportunities at some of the corporate locations (Sacramento, New York) and fewer at other locations like Columbus, Ohio & the labs.

      Pros

Great people to work with. People who really care about how their fellow coworkers are doing on and off the job. Truly work as a great team to get the job done. They also have great benefits.

      Cons

The only downside I could see is the rate of pay. But with additional school and job promotions this can be easily overcome

      Pros

Employees are given great benefits and if you get a decent manager then the work environment is very pleasant.

      Cons

Contractors are seen as very disposable and not a great percentage of them move on to FTE positions. They are treated very well, but just a high turnover.

      Pros

Lovely people, good pay, great benefits, cafes on campus, and great work/life balance.

      Cons

Difficult to push new and innovative ideas on all projects. Some projects are more flexible than others depending on which people are involved.
