I have been working at VWR full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company culture, invests back into the company through targeted acquisitions and continually works to keep up with the always changing market trends.

    Cons

Cheap company that only sees dollar signs which translates into low pay increases year-over-year, difficult sales targets, etc. High turn over due to high growth goals with little to no leniency from management when large number of head winds are met during the year (ie sales targets aren't adjusted).

    Advice to Management

Management needs to understand that sometimes squeezing every percentage of margin out of what we do isn't the best model. Reps need better incentives and the turn over we see is a direct correlation.

I have been working at VWR full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Make your own schedule, and I get to work from my home office. I have a great manager and teammates. I have received high quality sales training.

    Cons

It is not a 9-5 schedule, some of the work does come home with you. There are millions of products and thousands of suppliers that you have to have some knowledge of.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest more "hands-on" product training. It allows the sales force to use the products as our customers would. We get to feel, touch, see the types of products that we are trying to sell to them.

    Pros

    Salary Fair Benefits are decent

    Cons

Too many changes in Managers. Worked at VWR for 3 years and had 7 managers

    Advice to Management

Keep the managers in one place before switching them to different positions or letting them switch. Maybe make it a year mandatory before they can decide to switch to a different position.
