I have been working at VWR full-time

    Pros

Very little to say about Pros.

    Cons

Lack of responsibility; ownership; communication; follow-through. Poor leadership from middle-management.

    Advice to Management

VWR will give written warnings and threaten termination for simply asking them to clarify a policy or procedure that changes with every manager. However, when VWR management violates any policy or regulation, they downplay it, saying it might have been a misunderstanding, and then leave it at the discussion level only. Clearly a company who protects its management personnel, while falsely placing the blame on their technicians, and then throwing them to the wolves. Extremely biased.

I worked at VWR full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Friendly People, Draw you in and think you have a future

    Cons

At the end of the day...Management only looks out for themselves. No opportunity to learn or grow or advance. They will throw you under the bus the first chance you get. Very low pay and unrealistic expectations. The quality monitoring process is an absolute joke, you could be doing great for years, but one mistake or metric below and they will treat you like dirt.

    Advice to Management

Stop acting like you are all knowing. Listen to your employees. A little understanding goes a long way, people want to work for companies they believe in, not one they feel unsafe at.

    Cons

Poor pay increase schedule, (some) disingenuous management.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on ethics in management training (online course is absurd).

    I worked at VWR full-time

    Pros

    Pay check? Not much otherwise.

    Cons

Huge dysfunction in management, a large percentage are unqualified military vets. Must have a military background to compete with the good old boys club. All emphasis is placed on arbitrary metrics that for the most part are just falsified numbers to satisfy to satisfy upper management. The products are identical to thermo fisher but of much lower quality. You're expected to wear a 100% polyester shirt that feels like it was made from fiberglass.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, these are all well-known problems that have been brought up over and over across the board.

-VWR management is ridiculously out of touch with the current market
    -Draconian timecard system
    -Raises are miniscule
