I have been working at Vacasa full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Work life balance is a huge plus here. Employees work hard and enjoy the team atmosphere. The wonderful baristas know my favorite drink and make it perfect every time. Food is always supplied. Great location. Get to play with dogs. Couldn't ask for a better team to work with. Unlimited PTO.

    Cons

Growing very fast and sometimes it can be challenging but this is true of any company that is so successful so fast. Need an office cat.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

I have been working at Vacasa full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Fair Compensation Caring Challenging Change = never bored!

    Cons

If you are not comfortable in a place that can have a lot of change, this is not for you. This is a company that is growing quickly and when you double in size over a 3 or 4 years, procedures need tweaking, people around you change, policy is in flux. This can drive the faint of heart a little nuts, but without this ability to change and change quickly, it is impossible for a dynamic company to adjust with the growth....

I have been working at Vacasa part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Flexible hours and pay is compatible!

    Cons

Communication, management needs to be on the same page, no matter how hard you work, there’s always, that one person that has a negative opinion about you and other employees and exaggerates the truth, and there’s nothing that can be done when they are close to the head Management!

    Advice to Management

When you get multiple complaints, it’s time for you to take a look at the situation, lots of complaints can’t always be the employee, and that person should be watched a little closer and believe only a tenth of the time! Lies and exaggeration only hurt others !

I have been working at Vacasa full-time for more than a year

I have been working at Vacasa full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

The people, being at the top of our game in an industry that is still sorting things out and itself is ever-changing. The work is exciting, with real problems to solve. This is the place to come if you wanna do the work and make an impact. You will get out, what you put in.

    Cons

We are a growing company in an industry that expects us to be at the front of the line in the ways we take care of our homeowners, our guests, and our employees. That means there is a ton of change, good and bad decisions are made all of the time, we change our minds, we try and try and then sometimes we tweak and try again. So if you are looking for a slower pace this may not be the place for you. But, if someone wants...

I worked at Vacasa full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Company paid for medical benefits.

    Cons

Position is 24/7 with no compensation for the extraordinary long hours. Communication with corporate offices is painfully slow. Preferred method of communication is email and ticketing system. Software is reminiscent of applications used 20 years ago. Bonus structure is designed in such a way as to guarantee no one gets a bonus.

I have been working at Vacasa full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Work remotely- aka no commuting. Schedule has been somewhat flexible.

    Cons

My review is based on my experience working remotely. Little support for remote employees. Do NOT expect the same level of appreciation, respect or advancement opportunities as your non-remote team/corporate HQ colleagues receive. There will be opportunities for joining in on, or even implementing, meetings with other teams- possibly even traveling to said meetings, but you won't be asked to participate in those....

I have been working at Vacasa full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Flexibility - WFH, days off when needed, choice of work day hours are all well respected (for main-office type jobs). Insurance - basic health insurance for the employee is 100% paid, however for "step-up" or spousal/family coverage is still very expensive. 401K - the match of 6% is very good. Plan administration and participant self-service on the administrator website is terrible, though. I would love to see the...

    Cons

Career growth - I was really optimistic when I came to work here that I would be able to grown with this company and build a great career and be proud of helping to build something great. My optimism has waned, though. I don't see a lot of opportunity for upward mobility, and even if there were I wouldn't want to do my supervisor's job. Nor is there really any lateral movement possibility. There are reviews here from...

    Advice to Management

Systems - invest in a system that will do what you need it to do. So much time is spent going back and fixing things that weren't entered correctly, weren't calculated correctly, or just done so that a reservation could be entered and processed so the owner could get paid. You need something that will provide first-time quality so people can spend less time fixing other peoples' mistakes and more time doing their job...
