    I worked at Vacation.com full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay was good and nice office location

    Cons

Very ego driven executive team, both the current team and the last few teams. A company composed of many small players in the travel industry, that could not make it in the major leagues. Decisions are made in vacuum, most often without consulting other leaders which leads to in fighting. In the last ten years they have had at least five different presidents, four CFO's and 10+ VP's pass through the doors.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your directors and staff, involve them more. Check you ego.

    Pros

Depending on your manager and coworkers this place can be great or it can be hell. Many employees are competent professionals and many of the executives are friendly knowledgable managers.

    Cons

Other staffers are completely unqualified for a professional role anywhere. Some managers and executives are abusive with unrealistic expectations.

    Advice to Management

Hold your executives to a higher standard or risk losing the people in the trenches.
