I worked at Vadatech Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    These are totally unbiased -
    1. Salaries are comparable to market standards
    2. Perks and facilities are also very much like any other small-to-medium organization
    3. Nice office building with a beautiful view of the city through the glass walls
    4. Spacious desks
    5. Enthusiastic local management and HR
    6. American/Taiwanese/Armenian co-workers
    7. Chances of visiting any of these countries

    Cons

The following are also totally just and fair opinions -
    1. Even though salaries are almost at par, they have a variable component which almost never reaches the employees. As the performances of Bangalore employees is never satisfactory for some reason or the other.
    2. Perks and facilities are non-existent, however in every monthly/bi-weekly general meetings(which almost always get postponed by easily a week or 10 days) the employees are given small glimpses an array of new perks like bigger office, more parking, evening snacks, more team outings(okay they do outing yearly once as per my knowledge), Car leasing facility, backup/failover broadband(can you believe it, they only have one broadband connection), cab service. The list is long and you get the picture.
    3. This one, I give it to them. The building is nice and so is the view, however on 15 male employees they only have one washroom(so if you have a weak bladder or if you drink a lot of water, a word of advice, stay away)
    4. Yes they do have spacious desks, but apart from a privileged few(okay two to be precise) nobody else is allowed to use a laptops, fairness is the word of the day I say. As you can see, and it goes without saying, that the amount of trust the local management has in their employees is awful(all right, frankly, it is zero). I have heard that the foreign employees of the company have the luxury of laptops and more importantly the trust of their resp supervisors.
    5. The local management is always full of enthusiasm, be it the meetings, over-the-shoulder chats at your workstation, washroom queues or lunch tables. On the contrary, the style of management is totally manipulative and completely opaque.
    6. Foreign co-workers, yes. But don't get carried away, they sit in their own offices in their own countries. Sometimes some senior members of the staff do visit Bangalore for various reasons.
    7. This one is a bummer. The chances of visiting any of these countries is an awesome "bait", beware its a bait. But yea, if your stars are really aligned and you are a wonderful tail-wagger and boot-licker your travel might get approved.

    Advice to Management

If the top bosses ever happen to read this review - you have amazing people as employees in Bangalore, they need to be properly motivated.

I worked at Vadatech Inc. (More than a year)

    Pros

chance to experience what a high pressure environment is.

    Cons

The management praises those employees whose importance is immediate to the product to sky high and shows lot of affection and personal attention. This gives a high to such employees who have found favor with the management and then in full gratitude they work day and night on all 7 days of the week.
And then there are those engineers whose work may seem important to some in the management but not so important to … few others. Such employees are then put under huge pressure and are made to work day and night of all 7 days. Updates are asked regularly
    Management is pathetic.
    Partiality is at its peak
ANYONE PLANNING TO JOIN HERE EVEN AFTER READING ALL THIS.. GOD SAVE YOU THEN.
So much of politics is inside the company.
Managers listen to their favourite employee only.

    Advice to Management

Why so many people has left/are leaving the company ?

    Pros

I have always wanted to work in a company where I wasn't the proverbial square peg, and after nearly 30 years in the work force, I believe that I have found the company that complements my ideology for how a company should operate. Here are the "Pros" as I see them...

    Cons

Like any tech company, the work is big and complicated so work/life balance can suffer from time to time. The difference is that it's the passion within the individuals that drives them to work long hours and forego time off. Of course there can be times when schedule demands force the imbalance, but it's not such that 10-12 hours days become commonplace and expected regardless. We do what we do to get the job done; …

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing and fight hard to not be complacent. I believe that humility is the key so don't ever lose that thinking. Your motives will always be suspect, but if you're able to look in the mirror everyday and know that your motives are pure, that's all that matters. Walking the talk is the best evidence there is.

    "Missed Opportunity"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

The company has the resources and capital to make major developments in technology in both the commercial and defense industries.

    Cons

Vadatech took the initiative to broaden its product base by procuring the assets of RFSS but instead decided to dissolve the company which had the potential for state-of-the-art technological advancements in its line of radar target generators and radar environment simulators. The RFSS product line would have enhanced Vadatech's marketing portfolio to include applications for their signal processing architecture and capabilities. The dissolution of RFSS and the failure to invest in this product brand is a lost opportunity for future achievements.

    Pros

    Nice Facilities
    Company Growth
Long and extra hours not typically required
Management Treat you nicely, seems like a good environment, but...

    Cons

Wake up to the reality that is behind the façade
Not a friendly, happy work environment. Some back stabbing going on.
CEO/Management worse than described in other posts
CEO brags to visitors about how much he spends on his image, how about a better benefits package? More time off during the holidays to be with our families when our customers are also off?
Benefits lower than other companies I worked for, lack of choices for insurance, etc.
Management/staff afraid to blink without CEO approval, creativity stifled
Management "shoots first, asks questions later" mentality
    Promises not kept.

    Advice to Management

Until top management changes, any advice will continue to be ignored.

I have been working at Vadatech Inc. (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice kitchen and lobby. Being employed. Close to home and freeways. Leaving the madness every day. When someone smiles. That's it.

    Cons

This place is a mad house, run by crazy people, starting at the top and through out the management. I've met only one manager (Quality Control) that doesn't have their heads planted up the arse of the dictator CEO.
Ask anyone who works here, or ex-employees, for their honest opinions about the mistreatment. The stories I've heard are jaw-dropping.

    Advice to Management

There is no fix for this company when it's run by the Ayatollah and managed by his Revolutionary Guards.

    Pros

There is nothing more sad than the CEO of this company posting glowing review of his own company.

    Cons

Only good reviews of this company were posted by the CEO.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to all the horrible reviews posted by previous employees. Your company is a mess and you are in charge.
