I have been working at Valet Living full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

New Senior Leaders are working very hard to make this the company it should be. Everyone at corporate works hard, but no one seems overworked. Most people are friendly and welcoming, and the company is really trying hard to keep people. It is a tough business to eliminate turnover.

    Cons

There are some innovative things the company can do to keep corporate employees:
     - More casual dress, jeans on more days than Fridays.
     - Flexible Hours, not just 8 to 5 or so forth. Some of us are mom and dads and need to pick up kids
     - Work from home days - the company can tell when you are working and getting things done, why not allow people to work from home? It involves trusting your people.
     - HUGE gaps in salary between Managers and their subordinates. Not sure pay is that good.
     - More sick time. 5 days a year is not enough. One flu and that is wiped out. It encourages people to come to work sick and then entire departments are wiped out for weeks.
     - The Fun Committee is a joke. Punch parties in the break room while everyone wears funny hats is not what we need. If you want team building and morale building, do activities outside of the office like bowling and sporting events.

    Advice to Management

Its time to drain the swamp. Out with the old, in with the new.

I have been working at Valet Living part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company has a push on promoting how great we are and is trying to create an atmosphere of promoting a jovial feeling for its employees – FALSE

    Cons

Get hurt on the job and not one phone call from HR and management that has no training/ or idea of what to do in this situation - No empathy or sympathy

    Advice to Management

Practice what you are trying to preach

I have been working at Valet Living part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to work at your own pace. Pay is ok. Hours are convenient for those that work during the day or go to school.

    Cons

You put wear and tear on your truck. You have to pay for fuel consumed at this job. Its a very physical job. You have a big tote to carry the trash bags. Each trash bag can weigh up to 40 pounds. Very harsh to your back. At times you deal with aggressive tenants who are angry because you tag there door for not following the rules. There is a lot of turnover due to the work. Very hard to find coverage when you need days off. They only provide you with one pair of gloves, tote, and vest. By the first week you'll need new supplies.

    Advice to Management

Higher pay wages would help keep people. Give employees more supplies to work with. Hold tenants that do not following the guidelines accountable. Actually follow through and fine them.

I have been working at Valet Living part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My manager is great, works along side his employees when needed.

    Cons

People don't seem to stay, I guess due to the nature of the work. If you don't own a truck you make $4 less than truck owners.

    Advice to Management

This is dirty work, go out in the field and work a night. I think you will agree that the base salary should be $10 hourly.

I worked at Valet Living part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Okay pay when you see the check the first few weeks after that it goes downhill and takes a toll on you.

    Cons

You're treated like a nobody when you do all the heavy lifting.
Terrible pay for extreme levels of work.
No real supervisor just complains to you and never shows his face.
Very demanding even when you've been overworked and overwhelmed.
They cut your pay for the time you work when you're not looking to meet their own fulfillments.
COMPLAIN,COMPLAIN, and COMPLAIN no matter how hard you try to make them happy.
They sometimes lie about what tenants say so you can pick up their trash after the specified time.
They believe the tenants over YOU no matter how much proof.

    Advice to Management

Be strict on your supervisors instead of letting them get away with everything.
Quit making upper management look good and not the service Valet's.
