I worked at Valley Hospitality Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Coworkers are the best and only pro for this place. People pull together to try to get the job done but do not expect the same level of care and commitment from management.

    Cons

Management does not care about employees. Hourly employees are treated as disposable commodity. What little benefits they offer are expensive. Pay raises are nonexistent.

    Advice to Management

Fire upper management and start over. General Managers are scared to death for their jobs and will do whatever to whoever to keep them.

    Pros

Valley Hospitality will let you advance as much as you want to.

    Cons

Sometimes people dont know when they are in over their heads. So new people are able to take on a lot and in doing so burn out quickly.

    Advice to Management

The GM at the Marriott needs to walk the talk. You sent me to servant leadership and you talk a good game but you need to know how to apply servant leadership. Asking me a personal question that everyone else knows the answer to and I have worked for you for five years, shows that you do not care about your employees. Advice for Valley Hospitality - you are getting the reputation of burning people up. I have seen a lot of good, creative people not being able to last past a year.
