I have been working at Valleywise Health full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Valleywise Health is a safety net hospital so you feel like the work you’re doing is actually helping the people that need it.

    Cons

Really restrictive HR policies compared to my previous positions; Not much communication between teams; You aren’t provided with all of the new hire specifics prior to accepting the job which means you find out new things during your 1st week that might’ve made you reconsider taking the job. I personally had an awful supervisor and felt that senior leadership didn’t care to take the time to investigate.

I have been working at Valleywise Health part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great place to start since there people are willing to help you out or teach the ropes. Majority of staff have good hearts and work hard to do their best.

    Cons

Management and patients can be chaotic at times esp on top of the exhausting workload. Severely understaffed atm due to expansion and high turn over Not a place for everyone but you can get a good pension if you stick around +10 years. 12% of your paycheck is automatically deducted to go into this retirement pension. Think they contribute you up to 50% after 5 years and 100% after 10 years.

I worked at Valleywise Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Unfortunately I cannot state any pros except some of the HR team and leaders were great to work with but not enough to replace all the disfunction and back biting of those who hold the most weight

    Cons

Changes in management brought in leaders who knew nothing about how to manage employees, inspire change or grow an effective team. Leading by fear, pushing employees down and failing to manage or lead anyone is this companies motto! I’ve heard it was a great place to work but all of that management team is gone. Leadership who used to respect and collaborate with staff are now frustrated, unsupported and misguided my HR and Leadership! This place is falling apart at the seems do go here to work!

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Valleywise Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Money, Parking, Air to Breathe, I’m not locked to my desk but mind as well be.

    Cons

Absolutely worse manager you could ever imagine. They purposely hire people from out of state to lock them in one year contracts and then torture their staff. It’s where your soul will go to die. Ask about the turn over before you join, when more people leave then stay, it’s a sign especially when they are new hires. Also notice as a soon as a bad review goes up, a couple days later a positive and vague one goes up? I smell something fishy.
