    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Vance & Hines full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people here make the company. They are great. Very team oriented and family focused.
Management is very professional but still care who you are as a person and how you are doing.
If you work hard and are a team player, your efforts will be recognized and appreciated.
    Great company to grow with.
Well respected brand in the marketplace - (feels good to say you work for Vance & Hines).

    Cons

Not sure what to write for a "Con." Perhaps the medical coverage could be better, but everywhere you look, medical expenses are going up faster than everything else.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Together we will continue to build up this company.

    I worked at Vance & Hines full-time

    Pros

the employees-coworkers were teh only good thing about this place

    Cons

they treat their employees like slaves, pay them so little for hte hard work they do, 10.50 is a joke! no pay increases, 1 week vacation the first year and 3 days sick a year, yes a YEAR!!!

    Advice to Management

TAKE CARE OF YOUR HARD WORKING EMPLOYEES, THEY BUST THEIR BEHINDS FOR YOU AND ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS GETTING YOUR BONUSES.

I worked at Vance & Hines full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working in the motorsports industry sounds cool when telling people what you do for a living.

    Cons

The manipulation of immigrant labor is pretty awful. Welders who weren't white were paid less than a McDonald's employee. They promise skilled tradesmen the world, but never gives raises. I reported to 13 different bosses in 9 months, 10 of them were fired. It's pretty awful.

    Pros

Hmmmmm. Aside from getting a weekly paycheck, I would say the only other positive aspect is that non exempt employees can get a paid day off for every 3 months of perfect attendance. Not much else.

    Cons

You do not get raises at this company. I worked there for five years and no raises were given in the last three. This is in spite of the fact that the company's performance has been better than ever. You won't get upward mobility either. When there is a vacancy, that person's duties are assigned to other employees, or the vacancy is filled from the outside. If it is training you are looking for to improve yourself, you won't get it here either. It is sad to say, but this company is nothing like it was when I first started there. I have never seen the President of the company walk the plant floor and simply say hello to the employees or ask them how things are going. Effective communication is non existent.

    Advice to Management

Take a long hard look at how other successful companies are run. Take a long hard look at how they treat their employees. These are people that are helping you to succeed. Don't view them as replaceable underlings of little value.

    Pros

when the founder was there, great place, lots of excitement

    Cons

current president is not a leader but a boss. suffers from extreme self esteem issues and is often heard saying "i'm the smartest person you'll ever meet". Not even close.

    Advice to Management

owner needs to clean house at the top and bring in a leader.

    Pros

They are in considerable expansion of production and sales.

    Cons

For the second consecutive year, there are no wage increases or promotions for anyone. This is after being told the company had it's best year in 2014. What you did yesterday does not matter. The company only cares about you making more product tomorrow with less and less. After working here for four years, and not missing a day of work, I have become incredibly disappointed. This used to be my dream job, but I am going to find it somewhere else.

    Advice to Management

I would advise manage ment to read what I said above. There are some good managers, but their hands are tied and cannot do anything for their workers.
