I worked at Vanderbilt University full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great environment, great students, excellent colleagues. Amazing health benefits.

    Cons

As a lecturer in any department, there is very little upward mobility. Lecturers are never moved to a tenure track position. If you can live on 40K a year, go for it.

    Advice to Management

Why not be a leader of secondary education reform by paying your lecturers more and offering more job security than 1-3 year contracts.
