    School of Medicine is toxic

    Feb 11, 2023 - Anonymous Employee
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

There are great colleagues and students to work with.

    Cons

The School of Medicine is an extremely toxic work environment. Management goes out of the way to let employees know they are dispensable, the turn over is high (employees quitting one month in), pay is low. Employees ask to have meetings with HR and have their manager pop on the meeting without notice. The leadership and management is the problem. Managers blame their teams instead of taking accountability. The leaders “delegate” all of their work so that they are not held personally responsible. Leaders also refuse to send emails because they do not want paper trails of their mistakes and poor management.
