The Institutional Marketing team was awesome in terms of leadership and collaboration.

Because it's such a large and matrixed organization, very simple changes and processes took months to facilitate.

Pros

If you like a dictator type of company that does not value its employees this is the place for you. The company used to have engaged employees and clients that liked us. Tim Buckley our new CEO saw to the end of that.

Cons

- Severely underpaid. Yearly raises are 1/3 of inflation. They bought enormous corporate real estate buildings and slashed raises and bonuses - Tim Buckley is a dictator and has old world mentality of control and manipulation. Puts employees on disciplinary action/PIP if you don’t strictly abide by hybrid schedule. - Company decided to get out of environmental net zero pledge. They put a dollar above the health of the world and it’s people. Overall, Vanguard is a pretty horrible organization to work for and is losing people left and right due to upper management being incompetent and out of touch. They lack proper ethical responsibilities to support its employees and the world. Steer clear.

The people who work at Vanguard are awesome Decent benefits Diversity and inclusion organizations A lot of volunteer opportunities sponsored by Vanguard.

Cons

Vanguard use to have a company culture where you felt like you were part of a big family. Great atmosphere and leadership seemed to care about crew. However in recent years its turned away from caring about crew and turned to profits like other major companies. Major disappointment.

Culture and values in general. Loyalty and alignment to what's best for clients is never in question.

Cons

Technology investments are slow and lack clear vertical alignment and decision-making. Asset management side of the business still largely running the show. Consumer-facing software will take years to catch-up.
