      It's Okay

      Pros

Benefits, nice coworkers, great location, very close to the train station. Training was pretty good considering how hard it was to adapt to their server.

      Cons

Micromanaging if you work for certain departments. Mandatory weekend work if you work in some departments. High turnover. Not a very stable job, but if you need something in the meanwhile, take the job and just keep your eyes open.

      It's a trap!!!!

      Pros

      * The same ones you will see on each review, location, free fruit, sports tickets... * The ability to bond with co-workers in a way that simulates a war time setting (albeit for a short time due to turnover) * Excellent career advancement potential if you are adept at writing phony reviews on glassdoor.

      Cons

Imagine for a minute, Gary Busey on a peak cycle of steroids and acid....Now give him full power with no accountability and a trendy pair of nut hugging shorts.....Now make him micro manage every aspect of your job while changing his directives daily and blaming you for following yesterday's orders... Now provide a backdrop of an outdated system that can't ever be upgraded due to the high turnover in IT and every other department...Now be held 'accountable' for the constantly changing numbers that are churned from this aforementioned system....Now watch in awe as every single person you work with gets fired....Is today your day?........Welcome to Vantage...... Am I clear?....Did I say it right?

      Pros

Good benefits at the time I was there. Potentially may have had some travel discounts, but not well advertised Most of the non-management employees were friendly and great to work with

      Cons

The Cons may have changed since 2011, but if leadership hasn't changed much, this is what you may see: -High turnover -You never know when you will be in the hot seat and terminated; most were scared of being terminated at any time. -Management lead with a "stick" and they would hit you (not with an actual stick) -Bonus: You may lose your hair, go grey and/or get high blood pressure.

      Not Worth it

      Pros

Free gym in the basement, awesome coworkers in the call center, free fruit available most days, sometimes free sandwiches, fun location - right next to north station, public transportation discounts

      Cons

Managers who just don't get it, really high turnover, job is never secure - almost every week someone suddenly disappearing, difficult to get time off, micromanaged to an extreme, every single thing you do is tracked - including bathroom breaks, entire strategy is based off of copying competitors, no realistic travel discounts

Horrible Company who Fires People Every Week

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Close to T and that is about it

      Cons

Everything else. How can you fire people without thinking twice and giving them even a fair warning? The system is chaotic and there is no proper training. High turnover and everyone is scared everyday of being fired. This is the worst company I have ever come across, if you decide to join, look for other jobs from Day 1 because you never know without warning when they will let you go and just blame it vaguely on performance.

      Pros

Location of office-right next to North Station Casual Dress Some good people that are hard workers and carry the load

      Cons

Abusive and disrespectful work environment little opportunity for advancement- most just trying to keep their job fear based management style few hard workers carry the load while others slide under the radar high turnover rate especially in management Senior Management encourages in-fighting between departments and employees making it that much harder to get the job done Not unusual to hear of people crying at their desk

The Wicked Twisted Step-Child of Travel Companies

      Sep 29, 2012 -

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      • Near North End • Convenient to public transportation • You may be offered free tickets to Boston sporting events after suffering through hours, days or years of verbal and mental abuse

      Cons

      • Dysfunctional on a Titanic scale, reinforced by daily bullying emails from a creepy, insecure CEO who micromanages every aspect of the company • Extremely high turnover rate in most departments, including HR and upper management (see first bullet) • Communication between upper managers and employees who do the actual work is poor, when it exists at all • Too many puppet managers who primarily attend meetings and babble in Corporatespeak, and are definitely not hands-on (see third bullet) • Not enough worker bees in the hive to handle a heavy, unrealistic workload • Salary increases are few to non-existent • Company is unprogressive and relies on past customers to sustain its business • CEO's childhood friends and other "favorites" periodically resurface as consultants or employees, thereby shattering any illusions of being in a semi-professional working environment (see first bullet) • It's quite shocking that this company sells anything remotely "deluxe," as most everything that happens internally points to the opposite (see first bullet)

      Pros

      location... and that's about it.

      Cons

      - management - fear-based culture - high turnover rate No one is spared humiliation by the CEO, and senior management won't stick up for you. The culture here is so grim, it's no wonder a handful of people leave every month.
