I worked at Vantage West Credit union full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Outstanding benefits, friendly people and job security.

    Cons

Not with the times. There have been too many poor promotions to vital positions that are causing critical failures, high levels of inefficiency and negative impacts on the moral of high performers. No willingness to learn/grow; if someone does not know how to do something it simply can't be done.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be a hard look at the structure of the company from top down. Especially in the IT division. Too much power, to the point of conflict of interest concerns. Most solutions are outdated and innovative ideas are promptly shut down due to a lack of competence near the top. Listen to the "new" guys - a fresh perspective could save a great local company.

I worked at Vantage West Credit union full-time

    Pros

Flexibility, Community involvement (in Tucson), Wellness, Recognition and Volunteer events for Tucson employees

    Cons

Out of touch CEO and Upper Management with HUGE egos, seemingly unaware of anything outside of Tucson

    Advice to Management

At the end of the day, you work for a Credit Union based out of Tucson; put your ego aside and be willing to take criticism. Close up shop in the areas like Phoenix or Casa Grande since you have such little interest in the employees or the members there.
