    I worked at Vantiv full-time

    Pros

    A steady paycheck and benefits.

    Cons

The company only cares about becoming the number one payment processor. They outsourced jobs to the Philippines, resulting in the closure of the Louisville Call Center and the loss of hundreds of jobs. Unless you work at the corporate headquarters, there are no learning opportunities for employee growth and no opportunities for advancement. They celebrate success at an executive level only, and put it on display via corporate show and tell meetings that have no meaning to the average employee. They show no regard or kindness to the people who helped make that happen. Political correctness is the law of the land that suffocates the culture, and makes people scared to do the right thing for fear they will offend and be reported to HR by the people that are the problem.

    Advice to Management

People don't leave companies - they leave leaders. Leaders - make your people your first priority and business second. Take an interest in your employees by getting to know them and not just what they do. Find out what they want to do (when they grow up) and then do what you can to mentor them to help them succeed. Above all, empower them in their job or life to be their best and take ownership for their success. Bottom line - If people feel their leader cares for them, they will be more loyal, work harder and smarter and be there for them.

I worked at Vantiv full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great facilities and great co workers but that's about it

    Cons

No growth for people of color it's a good old boy company. I have plenty of proof to make my case but instead of making a big deal on it I left. I had more experience then many of my counter parts but they told me when I applied for a position that the role was closed but then would bring a non person of color with no merchant back ground and was hired for the same position that they told me was no longer open. Hr is not for the employees. It's really sad because it could be a great company. Btw I left on my own after 2 years of hidden racism.

    Advice to Management

Not that it matters but get diversity training for everyone and for upper management and for HR. Open your eyes and and ask why people are leaving why are there no people of color in upper management? When people ask me if they should work there i tell them they will never grow in the company you would get more growth in a fast food restaurant.

    Pros

They desire excellence. Benefits are good. Love co-workers and manager. Good ramp up program number wise.

    Cons

Once out of training you are expected to be on your own with no leadership. Mentor only available on their time. Bank partners don't qualify leads very well. Territory expands like a star, spend all day driving one place to another; needing all night to input documents and catch up on administrative work. No owned big pos system, have to sell NCR Silver so no recurring commissions on it. Half the on line things told to complete dont show complete - so you have to do them 4-5 times. Spend so much time fixing things including customers info that was inout in error by someone else that there is little time to sell. No incentive for merchant to open merchant with bank partner. Given a $10,000 first year /12 month incentive ramp up on top of $30k base no matter how much experience one has then $10k is taken away. Paid residuals for two years only.

    Advice to Management

Better, more efficient territories. Better communication to team from management. Everyone does their own thing. Some people do pricing so differently than others. Everyone should be on same page. So much money is left on the table with other vendor pos sustem sales because Vantav doesnt have their own. Pick people to work with others based on experience. Not just time on job or who you like best. Teach bank partners how to run reports.
