    Pros

Great people. It's a small hotel so it has a family feel to it on the employee side. Best property I've worked at.

    Cons

None to report. Forbes shopping can be kind of stressful but that's at every property.

    Advice to Management

    None

I worked at Vdara Hotel & Spa full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Vdara is part of MGM so you get all of the benefits of being an MGM employee.

    Cons

Vdara is a small non gaming property, so staff is spread very thin throughout the property.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time on quality service than on quantity of guests.

I worked at Vdara Hotel & Spa (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone knew everyone in the hotel we were a family no matter what department you were in. It was a non gaming non smoking hotel so you really got to know your guests and build a friendship with them. It was young adults so we didn't get all the crazy party goers. Rooms were all suits and very modern.

    Cons

I really had no complaints, it is to this day one of the best companies I have worked for.

    Pros

Okay pay, free lunch or breakfast, and employee discounts at mgm properties.

    Cons

If you get the wrong supervisor it can be hell. And you don't get full union benefits because they are hotel only, no gaming.

    Advice to Management

Get to know people and help out others when you can becaue you WILL need help too sooner or later. Dont make floor supervisors mad they will make your job harder.

I worked at Vdara Hotel & Spa full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I made good money. Made lots of friends. 7 hour shift with 1 hour paid lunch. Uniforms provided and cleaned for you.

    Cons

Management was catty and inexperienced. All UNLV hospitality grads with no practical experience. High turnover.
