A Great Product
May 7, 2017 - Medical Assistant in Colorado Springs, CORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Some of the best items that I have had the opportunity to sale and conduct demos for.
Cons
I can't think of anything that is currently wrong with Vector Marketing

Pros
Managers are very helpful and understanding that you might not make a sale all time. They have gotten back to me about questions I've had very quick. They don't rush you or put a lot of pressure on you
Cons
Well I just started so I don't really know if it will be profitable for me.

From the interview, to the training seminars this company runs off positively motivated individuals! It's great so far!

Flexible Schedule and you are making appointments and get paid even if you don't make a sale. You can make tons of money if you're determined enough. Also they have on going training.
Cons
Quite honestly yesterday was my orientation so I really don't see any cons to this yet. I believe I can sell if I pay attention to those who have succeeded at it.

Amazing Experience
Mar 30, 2019 - Outside Sales Representative in Virginia Beach, VARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
With Cutco, I'm able to control how much or how little I work. It is my responsibility to set up appointments with the client and capture the sale. My manager Andy is extremely supportive and has helped me improve and better my sale after every appointment. Cutco provides such an amazing environment to grow and improve individually.
Cons
The only downside to Cutco is if you are not confident you will not succeed. So for any sales reps out there, be confident in the interview, in training, in your appointments, and in life and I promise you will succeed.

Vector is GREATTTTT
Jun 12, 2016 - Sales Representative in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
One of the best things about working here is my team. My supervisor is very encouraging whenever I make a sale or don't sell anything. I learn so much for everyone; I learn how to be a better team member and just a better person in general.
Cons
It's disappointing when you're trying to sell something and you don't. It's very discouraging when you work hard and get told no.

Great for allowing flexible scheduling and income potential but not easy
Jan 5, 2020 - Sales Representative in Glendale, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-flexible schedule though they expect at least an average of 1 appointment per day and one sale per week -nice managers team and very small training group -lot of income potential
Cons
-Very hard to sell over $1k sets to the ppl I know, we buy cheap kitchen knives costing a few bucks and they have lasted us for years -they always assure you that you will get 10 recommendations per appointment and average of $360 per appointment which is just not true for everyone -the only customers you have are the people you know. So you have to contact them and basically ask them to help you out with your job. They really pressure you to call everyone you know and get them to buy the knives. Of course the managers say that it's no problem if you don't make any sales because of the $20/appt base pay but they again expect you to make the average of $360 a appointment from people you know -it just feels like I'm using my friends and family to make money off them -people I know and presented to have mainly bought knives from me out of pity or social pressure. It just doesn't feel morally right to meet my friends parents for the first time and the first impression is that I'm going to sell them stuff.

Not honest about how the job works
Sep 14, 2021 - Sales RepresentativeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good pay for students with every call or you get a percentage of every sale you make
Cons
Before working for them they made it seem like the job was going to be completely different than it was and it was essentially a pyramid scheme. They also say they are very flexible with working around your schedule if you are a student but once you work for them they are very demanding and not flexible with your schedule.

The company is well organized, and they reward hard work AND give you a lot of free knives!
Sep 23, 2012 - Sales Representative in Orem Station, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Free knives, great incentives and rewards, fantastic retreats that the company pays for, great managers/training. The company has a lot of great opportunities to succeed and it is isn't a difficult sale at all. The knives sell themselves so you just need to make the appointments.
Cons
Limited amount of earning potential, takes time to increase commission, on your own once trained. The job can get pretty tedious and monotonous and you will want to do something different after a few months, but it is a great experience and you make quick cash. Plus, it's a good resume builder.
