    Pros

Even with the large number of employees, it still has that closeness of a smaller firm. Employees of every level treat each other like family. The tools and training that they provide show attention to detail and a care for the level of quality everyone produces. Teleworking when necessary is an option. Great reputation in the A&D community.

    Cons

    The parking cost is high.

I have been working at Veenendaalcave full-time

    Pros

The people are amazing! It is what keeps most people at the company. Everyone helps each other to balance over time. They invest a lot of time and money developing designers. Great place to learn.

    Cons

Work life balance challenges. Promotions are not always based on experience and merit. Competitive designers.

    Advice to Management

Pay closer attention to stress and happiness levels of employees. Not all directors are playing attention or care.

I have been working at Veenendaalcave full-time

    Pros

Simple - truly an amazing group of smart and talented designers. Probably the best on boarding process for entry level designers.

This is a place where people help one another.

    Cons

Before we couldn't wear jeans everyday but that just changed! So that con just flipped to a pro!!

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing it works!

    Pros

Good location in midtown, huge support system with fellow employees and management, opportunities to grow within the firm, efficient training program, top benefits compared to other firms, work-life balance important and great clients and projects.

    Cons

Project turn around time is much faster then other firms. But with the training program, you're set up for success.

    Advice to Management

    Beer Fridays!!

    Pros

The people are very friendly, and they want to do good work. They are committed to the company and give a lot of their time and life to VC

    Cons

They don't understand that they are not a design firm; they are space planners. You can't run design projects the same way as a 4 hour test fit. The management does not understand how to deal with creative people. If you are a 22 year old girl right out of school and you want someone to tell you what to do, then this is the place.

    Advice to Management

You can't change the company without changing! Either decide that you're just space planners OR redo the way you think about design. But you will never be design leaders with the lack of design leadership you have.
