I have been working at Veggie Grill part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Vegan restaurant, fast-casual, relaxed, professional, clean, frequent menu updates, tips usually good, nice team.

    Cons

Bare staff, upper management (beyond general managers) out of touch, red tape nonsense for hiring.

    Advice to Management

    Hire, even for on-call!

    Pros

    Hardly ever encountered mean customers
Tips were good for being a fast casual restaurant
Not a hard place to work at, tasks are simple and easy
Would be a good place to start working for the first time and learn basic customer service skills without the chaos of a full service restaurant

    Cons

It seems like GMs dont take the time to hire the right employees because I rarely met an employee who worked efficiently.
Proper and uniform training is rare making it difficult to have the same expectation for everyone.
New schedule every WEEK so its hard to plan in advanced

    Advice to Management

Have more incentives for employees to increase sales

I worked at Veggie Grill full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Got lots of hours, great food discount, and flexibility within schedule. lots of tips

    Cons

Management didn't take sexual harassment seriously, blame victims. Many women were not comfortable with the environment, given constant harassment.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees.

I worked at Veggie Grill full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

•You get to meet a variety of interesting people daily from all around the world with different stories.

•The food is actually pretty good and you get a decent discount. (Although if working anywhere, food should be free I mean come on you cheapskates me make you thousands daily)

•Co-workers were cool and made it somewhat fun.

    Cons

•Absolute mess when it comes to front and back of the house. Always understaffed which makes it soooo much harder on everyone and it was mainly due to a manager that has/had no clue what she is doing.

•Company doesn't seem to really care for employees well bring.

•Some employees were just straight up lazy and would complain on the daily about being a cashier (even though it really is an easy job)

•Complete lack of a plan and communication.

    Advice to Management

Take some classes on being a manager. You're making great money while doing nothing and don't deserve it.

I have been working at Veggie Grill part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

In general, your coworkers are fun to work with and get there job done.
Very good communication within team members.
    Easy training and good tips

    Cons

Some of guests are inconsiderate and the company operates on a 100% satisfaction principle. You will be treated horribly sometimes by guests and still must give them treats/discounts.

    Advice to Management

Advance managers within company. Keep an eye on the managers and the way some may treat and handle the restaurant.

I have been working at Veggie Grill part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The work is very easy and quick to learn! It has been a great experience working in the service and food industry and has made me very conscious of all of my actions as an employee.

    Cons

I have had 4 managers in my time at Veggie Grill and some of them have lacked some essential consistency. There are sometimes scheduling conflicts that can throw off the team.

    Pros

You get tips every night. And the food is great, so that 60% off comes in handy. The music is cool.

    Cons

Management wasn't very great, the came out with the schedule very late and every week they would mess it up and schedule me hour or days that I'm not supposed to work. Also some how my tips went missing from our safe at work and management did nothing about it.

    Advice to Management

Have the schedule come out faster than the day before the schedule is supposed to restart. And train your shift leaders better.

I worked at Veggie Grill part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked here for about 2 years, and really liked the benefit of eating the food at the end of the day. Benefits!

    Cons

The hiring and firing policy might not be the best arrangement for employees with families sometimes, because of the way they tend to keep you waiting.

    Advice to Management

Sometimes you should keep an eye on the proliferation of lower than par quality employees. That would add more value to the culture.
