RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Venafi full-time for less than a year
Pros
I've been at Venafi a few months now and I couldn't be happier. Fully covered health care, 401k matching, and tons of PTO are just some of the great benefits. All my team members are talented and supportive, and the fully remote dynamic offers the best work/life balance I've ever experienced. plus i doubt you'll find a more secure company with a brighter future than this one!
Cons
you're really expected to self-motivate and get your work done without anyone hovering over your shoulder. not a con for people like me who love independence... but if you thrive under micromanaging/hand holding this is NOT the company for you

"~year employee contributing thoughts on venafi with covid context considered"
RecommendsPositive OutlookI have been working at Venafi full-time for less than a year
Pros
- very communicative organization the thing i am most surprised about is the amount of sessions the org hosts from an executive level to communicate company news and in ensuring everyone being on the same page. in addition, there are sessions slotted to facilitate discussions on a department level to follow up on further concerns/clarifications. i find this cadence very effective in ensuring everyone is up to date and has the proper buy in as the company makes its shifts and transitions in adherence to evolving business and market needs. - remote culture even pre-covid, the organization had been built on a global and remote communication/problem solving infrastructure. to me, this signals the ability to perceive pre-mainstream thought, positioning the company to sit "ahead of the curve." in organizational and business needs - the people so far, everyone i've interacted with have been very personable and respectful. i feel safe to seek information that may be "obvious" because i've been met with responses where colleagues take the time to explain their point of view, sometimes even starting from the very basic principles
Cons
(cons wrapped as "challenges") - challenges that accompany an "emerging" market there is a good amount of ambiguity and reading of the "writing on the walls" that a newcomer could expect to engage in. the agility and ability to find acceptance/comfort in uncertainty and frequently changing requirements would be a recommended skillset - imo - challenging content the IT/cyber space can be chock full of technicalities, having the patience to parse through all the nuances in the midst of fast-moving demands can be difficult

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Venafi full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Good benefits, flexible work hours/location
Cons
Management only wants to hear from people who agree with them. Long history of repeating mistakes in execution. Have a good year, hire a lot of people, and then fail the next year. The good executives have left or been driven out.

Negative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Venafi full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Paid employee and family benefits
Cons
- Executives have been at Venafi too long - Spending too much time on wining and dining - Not a lot of professionalism displayed by higher execs or managers - They like to pretend to have a culture but are all Hippocrates - No exit interview and displays they don’t want to hear why you are leaving or care to fix the issues
