    Pros

Free health insurance for family, two free meals a shift. 401k,. Flex time

    Cons

Lazy people are tolerated and becomes expected

    Advice to Management

Don't de-motivate your hard workers for a small mistake and let the lazy ones slide just because you expect it.

    Pros

Great benefits, annual pay increases, everyday is something different. As an EMT, you’ll get a little mix of trauma and medical calls.

    Cons

You’re expected to do Security work, as well. Lots of paperwork and reports. I don’t think these are cons, per say, just more of a heads up.

    Advice to Management

Be consistent with discipline. Get to know your team and hear them out before issuing punishment.

I have been working at Venetian Casino Resort Inc part-time

    Pros

The benefits are amazing. You'll probably won't find another company who matches the benefits that the Venetian has. The pay is also pretty great for being in the hospitality business.

    Cons

The role of housekeeping is not for everyone. It is hard and they expect you to catch on pretty fast. The company is huge, so don't really expect to be more than a number.

I have been working at Venetian Casino Resort Inc full-time

    Pros

Pay is great for a position with essentially no requirement. Everyone's experience varies from years working at other hotel properties to Starbucks baristas. You are trained to follow a script and as long as you can do that with a smile, you have a long future ahead of you.

Benefits are amazing. Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental. You get a paid lunch and you don't need to worry about work attire since the company has an on-site uniform laundry and seamstress.

    Cons

No work-personal balance. Any request for time-off is subject to review. 9/10 times, a request for time-off will be denied due to "business demands". Attendance follows a point system where an absence essentially demerits 2 points. 8 points and you are out of here. Good news is that you lose 1 point for a month of perfect attendance, I guess.

    Advice to Management

Management is actually great. The oppression faced isn't influenced by them in any shape or form, but rather passed down from executive leadership. You'll look to your managers as "brothers-in-arms" as they bear the responsibility of dealing with the most obscene issues at the front desk. On that note, if you are diligent, advancing to management is pretty easy, but the opportunities from there moving forward are extremely limited.

The turnover for executive positions are extremely low; combine that with the fact that internal promotions to executive positions seldom occur so expect to be middle management for years to decades.

    Pros

Fun environment, excellent team memebers, free and close parking, good for networking

    Cons

disorganized, minimal communication, confusing and varying information from manager to manager

    Advice to Management

Communicate with each other and give the same instruction to employees.
