I worked at Venetian Casino Resort Inc full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is pretty good for minimal work
Insurance is number 2 in the state
    Vacation hours are fair

    Cons

    Hard to move up
    Harder to switch Departments

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Venetian Casino Resort Inc part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Every member of the management team I've met has been a really nice person. They care about their employees and treat them with respect.

There is a virtual roster available online where people can give away, pick up, and swap shifts. It's an amazing tool that allows employees to tailor their schedule to their individual needs.

    Cons

Pretty minor, but they have "mandatory" (if you're scheduled that day) company-wide rallies on occasion. I haven't kept track, but it feels like they come up about every 6 months.

    Advice to Management

Don't make the company rallies mandatory. Instead, incentivize people with something. Even something as simple as free coffee and donuts could work!

I worked at Venetian Casino Resort Inc full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

At the time I worked there, benefits were 100% paid by the company for you, your spouse and dependents. Additional benefits were offered for a small deduction from your paycheck.

    Cons

I was disappointed that the company doesn't really seem to promote much within. Many people I knew while I was there tried to transfer into other positions and were never able to including myself. If you'd like little change its perfect. If you'd like some adventure in your job or opportunities for advancement this isn't the place... unless maybe you know someone that is a higher up.

    Advice to Management

Encourage your employees instead of always looking down to them like they are nothing.

  5. "Reputable company with great benefits, but can be strict and at times management nit-picky."

I worked at Venetian Casino Resort Inc full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

High attention-to-detail, clear understanding to what is expected from employees and most team members are friendly. Benefits kick in after first 90 days and they are some of the best on the strip.

    Cons

Office politics, brown nosing can go along way and strict rules; for example you log out to use the restroom and log back in when complete...meaning if you take "too long" they might call you on it.

    Advice to Management

Everything does not need to be black and white.

I worked at Venetian Casino Resort Inc part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is very compatible. Uniforms are laundered. Non-union (no dues). Employee parking is available. Paid lunch break. Rarely asked to work overtime.

    Cons

Lower Management is young and very unprofessional. (management plays favorites, very inconsistent). HR department is a joke.......because they are Non-union.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to be consistent so the lower management can follow.
