I have been working at Ventera full-time

    Pros

    Clients trust Ventera
    Partners trust Ventera
    Employees trust Ventera

This trust accelerates the delivery of value and a much lower cost than other organizations. Delegated authority makes everyone feel valued and "part of" something bigger than themselves.

This company is the first in my experience that "walks the talk." They hire for cultural fit first, then technical/management ability. Incredibility passionate talent that share a service-oriented motivation. Ventera is a nimble and flat organization that seeks to improve the lives of clients, employees, and partners.

    Cons

None that I can perceive, even with the benefit of 25 years in this industry and direct experience with dozens of companies.

    Advice to Management

    Maintain culture while scaling

    I worked at Ventera full-time

    Pros

    - Company really believes in College Hires and Young Grad; Invests in their personal and skill development
    - Pays for training if its deemed to help with your career/project
    - Welcoming and flexible work environment
    - Open Door policy with higher-ups

    Cons

    - LOUD! People don't really worry about how loud they are and generally feel free to talk as loud as they want. Can get overwhelming and distracting
    - Salaries are not as competitive
    - PMs can hinder growth if they really want to...
    - Not as competitive an environment to be a part of
    - Always things happening that prevent you from concentrating on work, more so around holidays/festivals

    I worked at Ventera full-time

    Pros

Great leadership, open door policy with many of the higher ups, access to both private and public clients, great mentorship, excellent work life balance, and great people.

Without a doubt a great stepping stone for my career.

    Cons

When I was there the leadership was taking their time on initiatives to bring the company up to speed. Since leaving it looks like they have taken a lot of the feedback to heart and have been ramping up many new technology initiatives.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work.

I have been working at Ventera full-time

    Pros

The atmosphere is amazing. Everybody is always supportive and encouraging of your own professional development. Small company with great benefits - health care, pto, bonuses.

    Cons

Although pay periods are 80 hour periods, we are required to work 40 hours a week and cannot balance the hours over the pay period but instead have to manage the hours within a 40 hour week.

I have been working at Ventera full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Competitive compensation package.
    - Growing client base (i.e. growing number of opportunities).
    - Employees are encouraged to partake in company initiatives beyond their projects.
    - Upper management is great - they take the time to get to personally know you and are willing to talk about the company's state.
    - HR really takes the time to listen to any concerns you may have and works with you to address them.
    - IT department is considerate of your needs (machine upgrades, software to get work done, stand-up desks etc).
    - Great culture - feels like one big family. The company organizes several big employee appreciation events throughout the year that usually include a winter party, summer party and golfing event in the fall. On top of that they regularly have smaller events (chili cook-off, Halloween competition, community service opportunities, happy hours etc.).
    - Coffee machine + soda fridge. Bagels on Mondays, employee-made breakfast on Wednesdays, and snacks on Fridays.

    Cons

    - Opportunities can be lacking sometimes though this is quickly becoming less and less of an issue given the company's growing list of clients!
    - You may find yourself on a project for a while since Ventera maintains long-term relationships with its clients and encourages employees to get invested / take on responsibility in their respective projects.

    Pros

Caring management, flexible timings great benefits make ventera an amazing company to work with. Employee turnover is very less predictably.

    Cons

It's hard to think of anything except that the career growth is not exactly linear.. The problem is that you don't notice because of the great folks around..
