    Pros

Career opportunities and advancement is a big plus. Intelligent people to work with. Good product line with established and diversified customer base. Good company culture and a company that treats its employees fairly. Competitive compensation and benefits. Can be a fun place to work

    Cons

Management communication was lacking at times. Some lack of vision in planning for the future. Unwillingness at times to make tough decisions. A certain amount of 'old boys club' attitude when forming the decision making coterie in the company.

Smaller company with difficulty in penetrating large named accounts is holding back the company from really taking off. Sales leadership is somewhat lacking.

    Advice to Management

Allow the functional leaders to be more independent and handle their own areas. Do not allow escalation of every issue all the way to the top

I worked at Veraz full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with. Flexible hours and great interaction with management and employees of all levels. Open door management policy made supervisors and others easily accessible at all times.

    Cons

Internet startup culture and we did not know what was going to happen operationally from day to day. Due to unstable product lines we were uncertain of the progress we would make and competitive milestones that needed to be reached.

    Advice to Management

MAnagement manged as a startup would and due to the fact that the communications product line was globally competitive maybe form more solid partnerships with peers and companies with competitive technologies.

    Cons

Leadership team was not necessarily in sync with each other
Quite a lot of politics for a company of that size
Comp and benefit could have been better

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Good people who work together as a team. As professionals, a group doesn't work harder.

    Cons

Promotions are based on seniority and not necessarily merit. Best practices are never explored and only insiders' ideas are entertained and implemented without informed discussion. Knowledge transfer is terrible and internal training is non-existent. Management assumes 24/7 dedication from their employees.

    Advice to Management

Please listen to the grumblings of those in the office. Unhappiness does not encourage loyalty.
