    Pros

Loved the people I worked with.

    Cons

Company is going through some tough times. Management is making the hard decisions to keep the company going. They are intelligent but very top down and secretive because of their circumstances. I don't hold that against them it's just the reality of the situation.

    Advice to Management

Be more open about who is at risk of losing their job. Find a way to keep the company alive.

    I worked at Veridiam full-time

    Pros

All worker bees are awesome. Hard workers with big hearts who care and take pride in there work.

    Cons

CEO Chuck Pasareli and upper management are very argagant! They lied to us about wanting the company to succeed. The real reason the CEO was brought in was to squeeze as much money out of the company as he could. He was sent by the board to stop the bleeding not to make the company grow. They sold Costa Rica, they laid off the old timers that were making good money first. Then they cut back on everything including janitorial services. They are now running the Oceanside plant on a skeleton crew. They are doing the same at the El Cajon plant. Their earnings are not real earnings if you're only above the red because you laid off people. You're not really making money. There is no new business. It looks like If they don't sell soon they will file for bankruptcy and right it off. Or get shut down due to many quality violations. Their biggest customer hates them and it wouldn't surprise me if they replaced them soon.

    Advice to Management

CEO you're not fooling anyone. Stop lying about the future of the company, you know there is no future because you and the board never saw a future. You couldn't figure out how to make it work. You couldn't find those zebras you kept saying you were looking for. So you gave up and decided to suck as much money out of it as you could as long as you could. Just be honest for once, stop lying.

I worked at Veridiam full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great group of people to work with, my co-workers were awesome like family. A lot of old timers employees who have been with the company for 10, 20 and 30 years. They were amazing to work with with. The benefits the company offers are Excellent!

    Cons

The management is not good, the executive team is not in touch with the employees and Human Resources is a nightmare, they really don't have a clue what they are doing and lack the experience and knowledge to do their jobs properly. Management manged to scare off some of the best talent and employees they had so many good people have left.

    Advice to Management

Get the right people in HR and Payroll to do their jobs properly and start caring about your employees, you will be better off attracting and retaining top talent if you make your employees a priority.

    I worked at Veridiam full-time

    Pros

The products are interesting. Unfortunately none of the sales people seem to be able secure new business.

    Cons

The management - top heavy and too many of them are new and don't know how to fix the day to day problems. Senior staff members are arrogant and belittling to people without a college degree.

    Advice to Management

Better find some people that think outside the box.

I have been working at Veridiam full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I work at Oceanside facility. Good benefits package, exciting products, impressive manufacturing capabilities, growth opportunities for employees. Overall performance at the facility has really improved over the last year.

    Cons

Not enough focus on getting new customers. Existing customers are very good and mostly long term, but now it is time to focus on growth. Several layoffs over the last 2 years, but company is much stronger now.

    Advice to Management

Continue the current strategy. It has not been easy but it is working. It is a completely different company and culture than it was 2 or 3 years ago and that is a good thing.

I have been working at Veridiam full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

People....that's about it. And to be clear, this does not include management. With the recent layoffs of about 1/2 the work force, not being there any more.

    Cons

Extremely easy question to answer. Upper management. CEO's are a dime a dozen at that place. Who could think each one could get worse than the next. And let's not forget the GM's...they come in and rant and rave how they will change the company for the better, just to get canned or quit....thinking they are on #8 in less than 6 years..

    Advice to Management

This goes to the owners. The guy in charge now, is making it worse for those still left. Listening to someone without ANY contract manufacturing is a mistake. Speak to the people on the floor. Get their honest opinion.

I worked at Veridiam full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The initial pay and benefits are really good and you are vested in the company 401k plan from the day you start.

    Cons

The company is on its 4th CEO in 8 years!!! Training program that the company received an award for is a sham as you will rarely get training on what you require. Benefits have changed a bit since the company has gone through a 3-phase lay off of almost 50 employees. The company used to match 401k contributions of half your input up to 8% but have ceased to do so up to now. You cannot easily transition into a front office job; once your are on the production floor that is your destiny and no one will help you change that.

    Advice to Management

Favoritism plays a big role in the satisfaction of your employees. They will work harder if they know they have an opportunity to receive raises and promotions.

    Pros

The people out on the floor are hard workers and have pride in their work. Floor crew are friendly and make you feel welcome.

    Cons

Micro managment in all departments. They cut corners and produce non-conforming products. Highest priority is meeting shipping dealines while quality and integrity of product suffers.

    Advice to Management

Have pride in your product. Follow customer procedure requirements as they are called for, stop cutting corners. Hire competent floor supervisors.

    Pros

Machinist and engineers know and understand their jobs and the roles of others. There is a decent sense of teamwork around the factory.

    Cons

It is evident that management doesn't trust any of it's employee's. Managers "babysit" their employees to the point of restricting job growth potential. Quality is not even an afterthought, when something doesn't meet print it's all about not telling the customer and finding out a way to get by with sending bad product. It's the least ethical company I have ever been a part of. They sold themselves as a company that has world class quality and where there are no ceilings to growth potential. I can't even describe the full array of Cons for this company.
