I worked at Veridian CU part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

All employees get health insurance. Paid time off and sick leave hours. There are bonuses paid out in March and often times in November. Ability to work in a variety of departments. There are volunteer hours that they will pay for and often times gifts like Target gift cards.

    Cons

So even though it is a credit union, it is still very much for profit. If you can sell car loans, home loans, and credit cards you will move up far more than anyone else. If you are not good at selling and cannot talk to people about number and financing, this job is not for you. Lots of repetitive work so it gets dull and boring fast.

    Advice to Management

Promote those that are qualified, older, with college degrees, rather than simply those that get referrals.

I worked at Veridian CU full-time

    Pros

There are no pros to working at Veridian CU.

    Cons

There are many downsides to working at Veridian CU. Work/Life balance is horrible. They expect you to put work first and family second. Promotions are not handed out fairly. If you are not a manager you are scum. Abuse and harassment within my departments was accepted. Very toxic employer.

I have been working at Veridian CU full-time

    Pros

This is a great place to work. The management, the culture, the people who work here. Everything about it is great. Veridian has amazing benefits and truly care about their members and employees.

    Cons

Sometimes it takes awhile to get full-time. And the wait is usually worth the wait because of the enriched full-time benefits.

    Advice to Management

Continue to look out for what is best for our members and employees and show you care. Kindness spreads.

Not stressful, very understanding management, great job for getting through school.

10 hour Saturdays every other weekend, if you aren't good at selling, you wont move up.
