    Pros

    Good work/life balance
Company is financially stable and performance.
    Compensation is above market

    Cons

Limited opportunity for advancement. Middle management never provides opportunities to employees to gain exposure, thus limiting advancement opportunities.
Politics among executive and management ranks. Cannot agree on direction and overall strategy as conflicts are regular occurrence between organizations of the key leadership teams.

I worked at Verisign full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Mid Size company with little to no competition in the market. Stable revenue and people stay on the average of 20 years.

    Cons

Everything needs to be approved by legal from marketing materials and contracts. In addition, the executive leadership team approves everything. The company is very risk adverse and they focus on the domain business and no so much on the other depts

    Advice to Management

The leadership is dysfunctional and it's starts with the CEO. Too many infighting and the employees are collateral damage

    Pros

I liked working for this company. Even as a large corporation, they take care of their employees.

    Cons

I was there less than a year due to Verisign selling us to TNS. But, business is business. =D

I have been working at Verisign full-time

    Pros

Exciting work, positive environment, nice facility, good pay/benefits based on solid company performance.

    Cons

Always changing, can feel chaotic or like a perennial startup; leadership doesn't communicate operational decisions well to lower-level staff.

    Advice to Management

Improve communication, loosen up a bit and be more encouraging of creative initiatives.

    Pros

    Good work-life balance
    Benefits beat market standards

    Cons

If you start as a fresh out-of-college grad and make your way up via promotions, your benefits are 30% lower than a person who joins you at same level with same experience. So bad company for starting your job.
    Too many politics
    Constant changes in organization
Different orgs get treated in different ways while being considered for promotions/hikes/bonuses/RSUs
No innovative ideas and new products.

    Advice to Management

Have a policy which would make every one equal, people who made their way up are compensated way less than people who joined at same level with similar experience

    I worked at Verisign full-time

    Pros

    Great health benefits
    Subsidized food
    Full-size gym
    Great technology
    Great Resources

    Cons

The Security division is like a ship without sails, a rudder, and a mast. Come to think of it, it's just a wooden bucket with too many holes. Management relays cryptic messages through proxies; leaving employees guessing as to their standing with management. This is a terrible practice. Morale is non-existent. Drama rules the floor. Favoritism and nepotism run rampant. Two or three VP's came through in a year's time. Constant regime change. Everyone is too frozen with fear to accomplish anything.Dead weight is kept on. Top talent leaves continuously when they discover what a show this place is. Leaders openly state they have no idea what they're doing. Compensation is a joke.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to how security services is run and how you treat your employees. It's astounding that an organization with such a decorated track record has allowed this place to turn into a three ring circus. Senior leadership should take a long hard look at their division and decide whether or not they want to run a high school or a professional security services division.

I have been working at Verisign full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits. Many brilliant people. Great HQ amenities. Important work. Work-life balance.

    Cons

Transparency to employees in some areas could improve. The company doesn't always seem to understand just how loyal and dedicated their employees are.

    Advice to Management

Encourage upper and middle management to be more open with their employees. We're in this together.
