I have been working at Verisk Analytics (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Senior management team really gets it. They have vision and that vision is filtering throughout the firm. Great strides are being made to align the entire enterprise under the same goals and objectives. There is also a perfect mix of growth from within and the onboarding of external talent to keep us grounded. Overall an incredible experience.

    Cons

The firm is in the midst of an incredibly rapid shift. Though the long term is bright, there are certainly some growing pains. That said, with pain comes growth and with growth comes opportunity.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Push us to the next level of global excellence and THANK YOU!

I worked at Verisk Analytics full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexibility and creativity — lots of upside to the flow of new services and top line growth. Ample opportunity to grow as an employee.

    Cons

None really but competition and price pressure is always a difficult challenge to overcome. But good people doing good things get this done.

    Advice to Management

Let’s have management extend a bonus to staff now that tax plan is in effect.

I have been working at Verisk Analytics full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Flex work hours, just dont leave before 6:00pm. Good stock sharing plan, if you started 15+ years ago.

    Cons

Upper managment is only interested in acquiring new companies, and keeping the stock prices up. Middle managment is very nepotistic. Getting promoted is entirely based on your relationship with your manager/director. Doing a good job is not required. Staying later than your manager is required, even if all you do is chat with one of the cliques.

    Advice to Management

Upper managment should pay attention to the companies they already have. Middle managment should be culled, there are entirely too many of them.
