    Pros

Nice state of the art facility. Fun atmosphere.

What was pitched as a payroll processing department was actually a call center for employees to call when there were issues with their paychecks.

I worked at Verizon full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Pay, 401k, vacation, easy work.

    Cons

The people. Many "Re-treads" from MCI Worldcom. I was in that division for 8 years. Net income goes down every quarter. The business is on a slow death, no matter how many people are laid off. Too many chiefs making six figures and Too many Indians in IT. VZ tried to sell the division twice in 2015. Turn and run away as fast as you can. VZ has no visionary. I am sure if Netscape was still around, they would try to buy the company.

    Advice to Management

Focus on fast internet and phone service. You are and always will be a utility.

I worked at Verizon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    -Union based on wireline side
-That pretty much means great benefits and pay! I'd assume lose the union and you get all the crappy benefits that wireless is unfortunately stuck with which pale in comparison to wireline benefits.

    Cons

-Management acts like children. Executives are constantly preaching Better Matters when Verizon's actual policies on a variety of issues says otherwise.

    Advice to Management

    Resign before Verizon goes bankrupt.
