    Pros

Nothing but great times at verizon wireless. Job is pretty laid back, what you put in is what you will receive. Work hard, and you will reap its rewards.

    Cons

its a grind, can be slow depends on what store you work at. make sure you go for a b or a level store!!

    Advice to Management

stop changing the commission structure. The way it was in 2015 was awesome. People were making money!

    Pros

On going sales and product training. Fair quota. Ability to make good money if you're willing to work hard for it.

    Cons

Too many rules for field sales people to report to the office. Waste of time and gas when home is in your territory, but you're required to report to the office first.

    Advice to Management

Listen to ideas from the ranks. Some of them are worth considering.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

great products/network...recognized as best in class. The brand is still strong.

    Cons

Company is contracting in the face of stiff competition, decreasing margins, "commoditization". What was once a great place to work, is no longer.

    Advice to Management

Fearful employees will never live up to their fullest potential. A complete cultural overhaul is desperately needed.

    Pros

Great benefits and access to leadership. Verizon's HR team is also exemplary and always looking for the next opportunity for employees.

    Cons

High stress at times, high demanded level of output. Verizon expects you to perform immediately when hired. The company can also be a bit large and hard to navigate.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on making Verizon a great place to work.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay, great benefits, great 401 (k) match, and they give you a lot of time off. They really do promote from within a lot, so there's lots of opportunity for career advancement.

    Cons

The job is too involved. The amount of red tape management made everyone go through on a daily basis is very taxing. Verizon is a great job, but it really consumes your whole life once you start working there as retail. That being said, once you get out of retail it's the same as every other 9-5 job with great hours and actual work-home balance. Great job like I said, if you don't mind putting in 55 hour weeks and your days off being consumed with the occasional conference call, calls from customers, and management calling to clarify transactions.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You very much likely to succeed working here and building your career if you are hard working and diligent.

    Cons

HR should do better at the kind of people that are recruited. I get tired of speaking to colleagues who can't comprehend simple grammar except for ghetto English. People stay too relaxed in a position and never want to move thereby making it hard for other to progress

    Advice to Management

HR/Top management should work hard at checking employees,if you are paid to do a job then you must do it well. A whole lot of people are only making free money here, lazy ,unproductive and almost being baby seated and making too much money per year while those that put in the shift are almost unnoticed.
