I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay n benefits .They have 3% pay raise a year, yearly bonus, commissions , rewards n overtime available so give u control over ur income

    Cons

No room of improvement at all! U can do the same thing for years!job burns it's very common n downsizing is almost yearly lost my job twice !

    Advice to Management

Management need to push for quality instead of just quantity.managment doesn't help improve ur skills or even gain one. Feedback is rare unless u do something wrong

    Pros

Pay is decent and colleagues are awesome to work with

    Cons

High quotas, pressure from higher ups. Pressure results into lying to customers to sell them what they don't need. Souless

    Advice to Management

Lean off, sometimes you don't need to add pressure just motivate.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great pay, hard to come by a job with this type of pay that doesn't require a certification or degree

    Cons

Over stressful, my doctor calls work related anxiety "Verizon syndrome" with how many people he sees. Surveys have to be 90% or better in one category and 95% in another, any less and they hound you like crazy. Lots of employee corruption and employees abuse the system to get their stats up so they don't get in trouble

    Advice to Management

Ease up on the stats, and stop taking things away from employees, lots of benefits have been taken away which made the job easier in the past

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great compensation as well as benefits from the first day you start, 401k match up to 6%, tuition reimbursement & plan discount. I have learned new skills regarding sales process & support for devices. The people I worked with were also like my second family & made the days working there bearable.

    Cons

Your schedule will never be consistent so forget about having a life outside of work. Hours are extremely long during the holidays with often times no lunches or breaks, depending on how busy or understaffed we were. Some of the managers were quite unprofessional as well as disrespectful; not only to their employees but also to some customers. They were caught doing very unethical things to increase sales. However, it seems the upper channels encouraged that because it was all about numbers & no longer about loyalty to employees as well as customers. Company culture as well as customer experience went down hill, especially after the major layoffs within the past couple of months. It doesn't matter how long you have worked for the company. If they want to cut your position to cut cost from their own mistakes, they will get rid of you quickly!

    Advice to Management

If you continue to focus more on your numbers instead of your loyal customers & employees, you will not only drive business away but also continue to have a high turnover rate. It use to be a pleasant place to work until the company decided to become more greedy. Lead by example & listen to what people have to say that are actually giving 110% of their time just so the higher ups can get compensated for most of it.
