I worked at Verizon Wireless (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits, team atmosphere, fun contests and prizes.

    Cons

It's a company you work for when you're ready to settle down in life, or already have, but the hours can be long, many of which are worked in the evenings or weekends. Pays as if it's a M-F 9-5, but retail hours, which is understandable considering client needs.

    Advice to Management

The Solution Managers should feel less pressure. They seem stressed all the time, while the store manager seems to be happy. In general the place is great, and you do a great job in hiring. I would suggest you speed up the hiring process, and let former employees have the opportunity to return to the company!

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Relationships. Support. Compensation. Value customer experience. Competitive pricing. Schedule ahead of time. Incredible benefits. 401k matching. Paid sick time. Paid vacation time.

    Cons

Quotas are high. Retail is often understaffed. Hours are long and breaks are inconsistent. It is difficult to have a real work life balance when working a retail schedule.

    Advice to Management

Coach to behaviors and not numbers. Give promotions for new customers AND existing customers.
