I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Worked with a lot of good people that became good friends with outside of work. Pay and yearly bonus were good, less and less every year.

    Cons

Ten years later it's a revolving door for many employees, and if you manage to stay long enough you will be laid off or fired. Management can use better talent.

    Advice to Management

No advise to management since corporate is in charge or every aspect of the business.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Used to be a great environment with great compensation and benefits. The benefits are amazing but drive employees exploiting the benefits and take advantage of the company.

    Cons

Its a culture of backstabbers, people looking out for themselves and leadership appointees who are completely arrogant and don't accept responsibility for the state of their business.

    Advice to Management

Senior leaders: Stop thinking that it's not you, its you who is killing the company. The company was a fantastic place to be for so many years but the culture shifted in 2012-2013. You started losing to the competition and were too arrogant to adjust to the market. Now you set unreasonable expectations for the employees and act like they are not performing when they can't meet the goals.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved my co workers and managers. I had a great time there and miss the comradery. Managers bought us a lot of food.

    Cons

High pressure environment, but that is to be expected. There was always a lot of change. There were also some shady sales reps.

    Advice to Management

    Don't praise unethical practices

    Advice to Management

I worked at Verizon Wireless (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is great, the welcome overtime, if you do minimal effort on a daily basis you’ll also have a good commission check

    Cons

Because you get a commission it’s easy to over-work yourself and get burnt out. Retail hours aren’t fun either.

    Advice to Management

Keep a friendly team environment, don’t encourage fraud or sketchy sales techniques just to get high numbers, stay consistent

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good compensation and medical benefits yearly bonus. Schedule is flexible. Managers will typically let you do what you want because they don't understand what you do

    Cons

Most managers will focus on sales and not operations which is typical, and frustrating when your told from upper management to help control discounting
