I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The money is great. Commission, if performance is good, is great. Overall a fun environment with new experiences daily.

    Cons

The commission structure changes monthly depending on how well the store performs. The better you do, the more challenging it gets.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good Benefits, Good Compensation.

    Cons

Targets change every week. Company focused on Millennials and seem to see experienced and tenured employees as needing to be moved out of the company.

    Advice to Management

Recognize that the people who got the company to where it is now are still valuable parts of the company and don't push aside or look for "new" talent to get rid of people working hard and doing their jobs.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless (More than a year)

    Pros

Culture is great, pay is great. Verizon is definitely the top carrier for a reason. I've worked for 2 other carriers, and a 3rd party dealer, no one comes close. The network sells and speaks for itself. Most coworkers are supportive, team players, but any sales environment will inevitably have selfish people from time to time. Working closely together with other Specialists, Experience Specialists, and Solutions Managers as a team is paramount to your success. Bad eggs usually weed themselves out.

    Cons

Not necessarily a con, but Verizon only wants the best. This makes the this role extremely competitive, but sought after.

    Advice to Management

One thing I'd say is they could probably afford to ease up a bit on micromanaging. Too many coachings from too many people can wear on you.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great hours. Amazing people to work with.

    Cons

Part-time. Only scheduled Thursdays through Sundays, occasional Wednesdays.

    Advice to Management

    More available advancement opportunities.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great money if you're a good salesman.
    Nice working conditions.
    Phenomenal benefits.

    Cons

    There is a commission cap.
Extremely hard to move up in the company because you have to take a major pay cut and work more hours if you desire to become a manager or asst manager.
Continuously looking for ways to get you to earn less money, so you have to constantly be looking how to counter those changes.
    Random hours of work.

    Advice to Management

Managers and above should be required to read Dale Carnegie.

    Pros

the benefits are better than military benefits and the prepaid tuition from day 1 of hire is awesome.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

good pay, great benefits, room to move up

    Cons

retail hours, sales usually passed on their customers to the CSR's to complete acct set up and activation so they could move on to the next customer and we wouldn't get any commission from that. Some sales reps were very greedy.

    Advice to Management

    They had fair management.
