It's hard to work with upper management and they over work the employees so people are stressed and on edge a lot.

The benefits are great and what keeps people working there for a long time. The company also has a great goal on improving lives for people with the diseases they work on.

It is hard to work with the upper management. The work load given is way too much and long hours are a must to stay I top of the work load. Hard to have any life outside of work.

Great benefits and long-term incentives. Easy access to a variety of online training courses. Free breakfast and snacks. Nice people.
Cons
Awful micromanagement throughout the organization. It’s very hard to get promotions or other opportunities unless you are in the “special group”. Inflexible about remote work, which is going to be their undoing. Vertex does NOT pay market rate for the pharma industry and they overwork everyone. WFH was the one way we had some balance, but now we must come in 3 days per week. All the recent AMAZING reviews are either the HR team in overdrive or people in the “special group”. Don’t be fooled.
