I worked at Vertex Resourcing (More than a year)

    Pros

Close-knit group of consultants and fun office environment
Excellent support for new consultants from Team Leads and MD
Office mantra of 'work hard, play hard' - really important for what can be a challenging industry to work in
Commission structure is probably industry leading and rewards individual hard work
Great progression opportunities, with a preference of promoting internally

    Cons

This applies to ALL recruitment companies - work/life balance can take a hit, especially if you are new to recruitment.

    Advice to Management

Just keep doing what you're doing!

I have been working at Vertex Resourcing full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great bonus structure - linked with hard work & dedication
    Close knit working environment
    Great internal work ethic encouraged.

    Cons

If you can't work long hours alongside some tight deadlines in a 'typical' sales environment, whilst enjoying fantastic rewards, recruitment isn't for you.

    Advice to Management

Maybe a more centralised office location would help!

I worked at Vertex Resourcing full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Excellent Bonus Structure - clear link between achievements and earnings.
Strong Team Dynamic - people share knowledge and experiences to benefit each other, with a view of what goes around comes around.
Clear Ethos - the business sticks to the original purpose of its founders.

    Cons

Still in some ways typical of the recruitment industry, if you don't want to work in an industry that is fundamentally predicted on results, then recruitment isn't for you.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps locating the business closer to Central London in future will make headcount growth easier.

I worked at Vertex Resourcing full-time

    Pros

You won't feel like your lost amidst a huge faceless consultancy organisation.
The work-life balance is much better than many other similar companies.

    Cons

Little to no feedback on one's work, I felt I had no influence over any part of my work or career there and management was not interested in my development or improvement.
    Unpredictable resourcing of projects.
A tendency to shift responsibility so that things get left until the very last minute.
