    I worked at Vesta Corporation full-time

    Pros

    The management staff,and co-workers, are awesome; the work is also easy. Room for advancement. It is a inbound call center. Monthly incentives for hitting goals and quarterly contests.

    Cons

    Order Processing wasn't bad but, Revenue Assurance sometimes gets verbally abusive callers or difficult clients.

    Advice to Management

    When I worked for Vesta we were all like a family. You could offer 4 ten hour shifts again and/or times/ways people on the floor can sharpen there computer skills when they are not clocked in. Maybe encourage people to work on skills in order to earn monthly incentives.

    Pros

    Honestly ZERO...They have no real direction and extremely poor leadership.

    Cons

    They have no direct, no plan. They honestly have a product they don't know how to market. Lots of eggs in a few baskets. NO BRAND IDENTITY.

    Advice to Management

    Find a direction, find a brand identity. Who are you targeting with your product? How are you marketing it?? If you don't know who you are then HOW can you move forward as a company?

    Willing to take those with little to no work experience and train them from the bottom up.

    Cons

    Depending on position and length of employment; compensation can be a bit low.

    Advice to Management

    Always allow those under you to share their ideas and knowledge with you.

    They will hire just about anyone in their call center.

    See above. Terrible treatment and low wages for call center employees.

    Pros

    Great support staff, great training, friendly people to work with. It has been gratifying to see the people with whom I work grow and advance as the company grows. The call center bonuses are aligned so that everyone is working towards the same goals.

    Cons

    Call center work isn't for everyone.

    Advice to Management

    Spend more time listening to the agents taking calls. Maybe take some yourself! You could learn a lot about the customer experience and it would mean a lot to your team if you could spend a day or even an hour in their shoes.

    Pros

    Call Center area only. Worked there for 8 years - Supervisor for 7 years. Was one of the best places I've ever worked at for first 6 years. Down hill since. No current Pros

    Cons

    Call Center portion of company - Low moral, no incentives or recognition for reps. Poor management from Call Manager and Production Manager.

    Advice to Management

    Replace upper Call Center Management with people that understand how to manage others. Increase starting wage for reps., create better moral in department so people want to work there.

    Pros

    Good people, good products, lots of potential for growth in very dynamic market sector. Pretty good work atmosphere.

    Cons

    Tigard location leaves much to be desired. Feel sort of isolated from the rest of the PDX area.

    Advice to Management

    Provide clear leadership to managers, so that employees know what's on the up and up. A bit too much drama for my taste.

    Pros

    Great coworkers, that's about it.

    Cons

    Management set unrealistic work goals that were almost impossible to meet. Even the best CSR's couldn't meet expectations.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees like people, not robots. If you want robots, upgrade your systems and have all the calls be taken automated.

    Great schedule for students. Very flexible hours

    Cons

    little room for growth. If you are not in the corporate side, you can forget to be promoted

    Advice to Management

    Don't just think of the corporate employees. The corporate offices are all fancy and new, but the call center has hardly been touched for years.
