I worked at Vesta part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is a lot of opportunities to learn the industry

    Cons

Overworked and underpaid. They need double the man power that they currently have

    Pros

I can set my own schedule and I have an office with a window that opens.

    Cons

Payment structure is very confusing and its important to keep a close eye on one's paycheck - it is not uncommon to not be reimbursed for services provided or training. High turnover and no one seems to known what's going on.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more, communicate with them better, and increase retention of staff. Constant turnover is difficult for chronically mentally ill clients to process and does not support their rehabilitation.

    Pros

    The supervisors were pretty nice.

    Cons

Very low morale. No one there liked the job and very high turn over rate.
Little communication from management and supervisors to employees.
Little incentive to do a good job. They started a bonus program while i was there however it was very flawed and almost impossible for employees to meet all the requirements.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. They're the ones taking the calls and deal with the unruly customers

I have been working at Vesta full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Payment growing popularity in the high-technology industry.

    Cons

The company is very difficult to report to and release important documentations are very hard to communicate.

    Advice to Management

Remove certain hierarchy and being more transparent is going to be a great way for further development.

    Pros

They have a monthly "office picnic" which is really just a fancy way of saying pot luck. The Christmas party is pretty nice if you like dancing to the oldies during mandatory overtime.

    Cons

They don't always pay their employees on time and the worst part is that they wait until payday to tell you that checks will be distributed the following week - leaving you stranded for the weekend with no money. It happened to me on more than one occasion and that's part of the reason I decided to resign. I work hard for my paycheck and deserve to be paid timely on payday as expected!

    Advice to Management

Keep your employees engaged in their work by challenging them to do well, and offering regular feedback and advancement opportunities.

    Pros

There's a monthly "office picnic", which is no more than a pot luck lunch.

    Cons

They don;t always pay their employees on payday. You might come into work expecting a paycheck, only to be told that you'll be paid the following week. It happened to me twice in the last 12 months and each time, they either blamed the payroll company or the managers in other departments for not turning in timesheets on time. Also, despite the fact that the employee handbook says that you'll get a 90 day abd annual review, that is a lie.

    Advice to Management

Don't tell people what they want to hear in order to get them in the door and then do the opposite of everything you said during the hiring process.

    Pros

Paid training and had off days during the week.

    Cons

No benefits or job security. Everyone was a contract employee. Customer's were the worse people to talk with on the phone. Had a lot of vulgar type calls.

    Advice to Management

Office culture needs to be more supportive of employees.

    Pros

I enjoyed the networking connections and friends I met while working there.

    Cons

The ranking system implemented 6 months into working for the company that was hard to grasp

    Advice to Management

Focus more on your employees moral than numbers.
