I worked at Vetstreet full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Cool middle management group. Didn't micro-manage. Lots of autonomy. Decent pay.

    Cons

Upper management lies. They lack the innovation to keep up with the competition.

    Advice to Management

Middle managers should find work elsewhere. The future of this company is too uncertain. I have no advice for upper management.

    Pros

Flexible timings, great benefits, good people

    Cons

Cant think of any. If someone is throwing a bad review for this company that only means the fault is in you not the company. Company is made of people and if you like to work with people and respect them , I do not think there could be anything wrong.

    Advice to Management

    pay me more :P

I worked at Vetstreet full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Vetstreet utilizes animal pharmaceutical metrics as its basis for reporting trends within the industry, as this data is its main backdoor selling tool. Those metrics are pulled from the software it loads over PMS systems within subscriber veterinary hospitals.

    Cons

Dishonest in positioning its portals as a money making tool for vet hospitals as Vetstreet's main thrust is to pull aggregated data from participating hospitals which it resells back to the pharmaceutical industry. Worst micromanagement EVER, for which HR did nothing to mitigate when blatantly unfair and harassing tactics were used against reps. Overwhelmed software engineers could not follow through quickly to repair/set up portals. Management wants product sold and dropped, like car sales. Customer development not allowed. No advertising budget so explaining software features to gatekeepers was nearly impossible.

    Advice to Management

Where to begin: Advertise and market your services, update presentation materials for field reps, use real-world sales targets and a level playing field for each account manager, pay for booths to promote services at VMA meetings (and have a budget that covers more than M&M's, which my manager refused to pay for), and treat your employees like people instead of chattel.

I worked at Vetstreet full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Cafeteria in the building so if you don't bring a lunch you have enough time in your 30 minute break to actually eat.
    Co-workers.
Leave your work at work. No overtime. Normal Hours.

    Cons

Someone is constantly monitoring every little thing you do. There is no freedom. The cubicles block the windows. You will be yelled at for forgetting to CC someone on an email. You get 2-15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch, which are all timed. No cell phone use in the building. No wi-fi. Not always selling, but the product you do sell is a magazine(with a customizable cover wrap!) that is pretty awful. The selling techniques are incredibly outdated. If you get the job through an agency they can fire you without ever telling you. You'll just receive a voicemail after leaving work from your rep at the agency stating your contract was terminated. Low pay, low room for growth.

    Advice to Management

The Powerpoint lecture style of training is outdated. Of course, no one is going to remember intricate details from these sessions, so don't be surprised or mad when they start doing the actual work and forget them. Listen to people who maybe have a different style of selling something. Not everybody is super upbeat and excited all the time and trying to fake a personality is a sure fire way to get shut down.

Compensation was fair and you are able to work from home.

There is not allot of trust left. Too many dangling carrots to employees and customers.

    Advice to Management

Stop being reactive and be proactive.
