I worked at ViacomCBS for less than a year

    Pros

The benefits are really good (discounts, office space, merchandise) Still houses brands with great recognition so would look good on a resume Good pay

    Cons

heart of Times Square could make for an annoying commute content is not that great (work being done can feel sort of moot) high-school level atmosphere & emotional immaturity

    Advice to Management

Nothing other than to ditch the nostalgia train and start putting forward content that's either original and/or meaningful; doesn't even have to be both.

I worked at ViacomCBS for more than 3 years

    Pros

-Talented people -Innovative offices and decor -Special events, ways to get involved

    Cons

-Many workers are contract with no benefits or paid days off -Times Square location -Lack of true innovation in a changing marketplace

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to try bold ideas. Making the same kind of decisions, hires, and investments will yield the same underwhelming results. Also you are losing lots of good talent to your freelance/contractor pipeline. I was with the company 3 years and continued to be "freelance" with no benefits, days off, or true path to staff.
