I have been working at Vibra Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It is a great place for new grads or someone ready to retire but just wants to work a few shifts a month. I have got a lot of great experience and feel much more confident in my skills after 1 yr. At Vibra.

    Cons

It's hard work, don't expect to sit around.

    Advice to Management

The management I have experienced here has the patients best interest and their employees, but they have to run a business/hospital as well.

I have been working at Vibra Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent. You only have to work 12hrs, 3 days a week That's about all I can say that is positive.

    Cons

They are very unorganized. Some of the employees don't like to help. The PCTs have 11-14 patients. There are only 2 PCTs on the shifts.

    Advice to Management

They need to hire better employees. There needs to be at LEAST 3 PCTs on day shift and night shift.

I have been working at Vibra Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Pay, location, food, and patients

    Cons

List of unacceptable working conditions,The leadership of Vibra does not care about nursing or its respiratory therapists. Management is allowed to micro-manage their employees until many of them just leave. If you like to be texted multiple times all day and be told on how to manage the ventilator this job will be for you. I would strongly advice not working for this company. Their are much better places to work that will acknowledge your skills then this company. Patient care is poor. Bottom line is a patient to Vibra is a dollar sign. The texting to the staff is insane and why has it not stopped?

    Advice to Management

The RT protocols are not working. The unrealistic and inhuman on call policy is not working! The texting and emailing to personal accounts is not working, Why cant staff have a work email account? Please stop the texting and let the RT's manage the ventilator. The constant training and turnover rate of staff is not working. Learn how to provide customer service by retaining your own employees. Learn what it really means to provide superior customer service. Remember that is someones loved one laying in that bed. Please Please stop the texting.

    Pros

You will gain a great deal of experience caring for complex medical patients

    Cons

Backsdtabbing bullying .staff direspecting staff and same one doing it over and over without discipline or counseling for it

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff .theres a real issue with bullying and staff being direspected infront of other employees by another without intervention.
No one should be spoken to with disrespect or loudness especially infront of others ....this is unhealthy environment

I worked at Vibra Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Economical and tasty lunches, sometimes breakfasts. Some local management really care about patient care.
Some Vibra hospitals are in newer buildings.

    Cons

Amount of patients assigned to RNs and CNAs.
Corporate's pressure regarding profit, even though quality patient care is at stake.
Hire and fire culture, even after insufficient orientation.
Exempt staff appear to be worked to death.
Wages poor, especially when compared with other hospitals in the area.

    Advice to Management

Staff appropriately if you want to be known as a quality hospital.
Provide appropriate orientation to new nurses.

I worked at Vibra Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good experience in acute care

    Cons

Understaffed, over worked, unsafe patient to nurse ratio, management is uncaring and suffers burnout themselves. Too many new graduates and not enough experienced nurses which leaves untrained nurses to train untrained nurses. Not a safe practice. Also pays less then minimum which is why there are more new grads then experience.

    Advice to Management

This job is viewed as a steeping stone to more on to a better job. If you would prefer to maintain a steady and regular staff that is with the company longer than 6 months to a year the business model needs to be looked at. The pay rate is not enough to keep staff on top of the guilt trip you receive if you have to call out because you are sick. The administrator is a certified CNA but never helps out when nurses are required to take on 6-7 patients all total care and no CNA on floor. DON never helps out when severely understaffed. The message that is sent is that management does not care about staff only census.

I have been working at Vibra Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Competitive salary, ok benefits, flexible shift.

    Cons

High turnover, little training of new staff, socializing is frowned upon, tense environment, upper management feels invincible.

    Advice to Management

Staff fails because of lack of training, more of a management issue, rather than a staff issue. Make a happier and healthier work environment for everyone, it's ok to show emotion once in a while.

I worked at Vibra Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people on the clinical side that you work with are like family

    Cons

Management is poorly constructed, no opportunities for advancement, if you do try to advance they shoot your application down for being "overqualified" (or just not ackowledging it), but keep you in the lower position

    Advice to Management

Get your head out of your butts and actually care about your current employees welfare before you don't have a clinical staff to support your big heads.

    Pros

The wonderful people and patients you get to meet. Flexibility in schedules

    Cons

Unorganized and unstable leaders. Unrealistic goals and admission requirements. For profit organization so money is always the priority which in some aspect takes away from patients. Lack of accountability. Old outdated policies.

    Advice to Management

Have a way to check all employees are doing what is right at all times. Stop promoting people that don't have credentials to do the job hired for. Get a compliance officer for HR and recruiters it is evident in many situations that they don't do what they say they are going to do.
