    Pros

Strong Clinical Pharmacy staff, Autonomy, Highly trained technicians, Flexibility, Autonomy, Strong management

    Cons

Small hospital, Period of transition, workload

    Advice to Management

The job at a long term care acute hospital is usually challenging. We deal with high acuity patients without all of the same resources as an short term acute care facility. The job requires a great deal of adaptability and highly skilled employees.

I worked at Vibra Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Close to home and freeway

    Cons

    Integrity. What's that? Red Flag!

    Advice to Management

Order enough stuff so we can do our job. 20 yogurts a week isn't going to cut it for 250 orders a day. 16 slices of pie for 250 orders a day etc... How about making sure kitchen has enough staff so hypertension doesn't run amok and if you say you get bonuses/raises well then...don't make staff act like they're making it up! Treating employees like criminals if they have a problem that needs to be looked into (such as said bonuses/raises) is not a very productive company culture. Amway has more integrity than this place.

    Pros

The job itself was fun. They pay well.

    Cons

They took a fun job and made it awful. No amount of pay is worth the abuse you take from upper management. It’s a toxic work environment with no respect for their employees. It’s all about their bottom line.

    Advice to Management

    Close down.

this place is being ran by people who obviously don't care about the employees, I'm glad I didn't stay, the low ratings match my experience

    Pros

For the most part, good people to work with. Pay is good, when you aren't being downstaffed.

    Cons

Established staff is downstaffed so the agency staff can work (making 2-4 times the money). Downstaff hours are NOT divided equally. Discipline is not handled fairly/equally. Some departments get offered bonus shifts while others don't.

    Advice to Management

Do WHATEVER it takes to keep the GOOD staff that you have. Get rid of agency! You wouldn't need agency if you treated employees well/fairly/equally. Department managers should be watched over to make sure employees are treated fairly and disciplined properly in a timely manner. The place could be & should be number one, seeing as it's the only LTACH in town!

I have been working at Vibra Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Non-management staff, majority are teamplayers

    Cons

False interview expectations, inappropriate interviews, no training in regards to needs of job once hired, in specific departments only. Set up for failure. Staff working long hrs, well over their day work hours, without pay. The fall guy.

    Advice to Management

Share exactly what the job entails, expectations, and ask the interviewee can and have they ever dealt with job tasks such as this. Ensure proper training is given towards computer programs, even higher mgmt are unaware. Stop blaming lower mgmt as they ask for assistance

I have been working at Vibra Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I work with some pretty great floor staff.

    Cons

Administration is really bad. They like to pass the buck and blame anyone but themselves for their shortcomings. The turnover rate is appalling. We are underpaid and underappreciated. They will staff the bare minimum amount of people, but wonder why we don't have time for all our breaks and patient care. They like to play favorites. They like to publically humiliate staff. They are making us take our CPR classes with an outside company and while they will pay for the class itself, they won't pay us for the hours we spend at the class. They don't pay for license renewals. Don't expect to get a raise either.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your staff. Give us respect, better pay, better benefits, better staffing, etc.

    Pros

Staff gets along well. Pay is good. Able to learn a lot of skills you wouldn't at a nursing home.

    Cons

Bad management. Rules always changing. Morale is low.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your employees more. Be honest when they come to you with concerns or questions.
