    Cons

Small hospital, Period of transition, workload

    Advice to Management

The job at a long term care acute hospital is usually challenging. We deal with high acuity patients without all of the same resources as an short term acute care facility. The job requires a great deal of adaptability and highly skilled employees.

I have been working at Vibra Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Non-management staff, majority are teamplayers

    Cons

False interview expectations, inappropriate interviews, no training in regards to needs of job once hired, in specific departments only. Set up for failure. Staff working long hrs, well over their day work hours, without pay. The fall guy.

    Advice to Management

Share exactly what the job entails, expectations, and ask the interviewee can and have they ever dealt with job tasks such as this. Ensure proper training is given towards computer programs, even higher mgmt are unaware. Stop blaming lower mgmt as they ask for assistance

I have been working at Vibra Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Rehab is a great field.

    Cons

Money driven like everything else. But this company is driven by revenue from beds filled, understaff the facility, and do not provide quality training of the staff. They focus on a family feel of staff and not quality care of their patients. Admissions lets inappropriate patients in and kicks them out without a safe discharge plan. They do make money. But they couldn’t care less about quality care and are confused by the idea of the sanctity of caring for the sick. They set you up to failand then dump you. Stick up for yourself. Don’t let them take your license!

    Advice to Management

Stop focusing on your little cliques. This is a red flag for a CYA culture that regularely violates state law. Focus on instead on patient centered care. Focus on patients’ dignity. Focus on cleanliness. Absorb the Broken windows theory by Kellingy where even the CEO picks up a stray wrapper on the ground. Follow management strategies that work to build patient outcomes. Raise the rate of pay. Overstaff nursing. Then you will keep staff, decrease falls, and improve patient satisfaction. Look to your profit margin and ask yourself if you care that much about the top and not enough about the patients. (I know the answer.) Or else just get a different job where you can really screw people over for money. This is a hospital for goodness sakes. I don’t care what country you are in or what political bent you have. It is supposed to take care of the sick!
