    Pros

Work with great talent, learn to flex as a leader. Multiply work streams that interact across multiply partners to learn different communication styles.

    Cons

High pressure, tense environment. Demands are high and can be challenging to deliver with the ever fast pace environment.

    Pros

VS values their employees even though they are such a big company. It is expected that you work hard, but you get a great outcome from the hard work. The exceptions are high and most of the management teams I've worked with value the work of their employees.

    Cons

Can work some long hours, especially during holiday, but well worth it when the sales results come in. They have some great benefits, but would love to see more.

    I worked at Victoria's Secret full-time

    Pros

If you work with good people, this wouldn't be an unpleasant job-- just make sure you enjoy the other seasonal workers that way when you're folding underwear until 5 am, its not that bad.

    Cons

The Christmas season is a lot. Because of the semi-annual sale, it is really long and a lot of hours of folding underwear. Just prepare yourself for that.

    Advice to Management

Better instructions would be nice. Even though there was official training, after that, I felt like I was thrown into the store.

I worked at Victoria's Secret part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The salary was pretty high for an intro retail job and a great perk is that you can get free merchandise around once a month. My coworkers were all pretty nice and management was very personable.

    Cons

I worked during the summer semi annual sale season and it can get really crazy, but after that your hours are very few. When I was there they scheduled "on call" shifts, but I think they have since gotten rid of that.

    Advice to Management

Not too much to say, please continue supporting sales associates and consider hiring fewer people in order to give already existing workers more hours

I have been working at Victoria's Secret (More than a year)

    Pros

It is a great group of people, whow can come together in great support for one another. If something is going on in your life you don't feel as if you have to hide your feelings or put on a brave face; they aren't going to belittle you for being human. You get a great discount working at the store, especially since you need to display the clothes that are in your store. And you have several opportunities to work in different areas, whether it iseems selling, shipment, and visuals in the store or taking part in on-campus popup stores, you'll never be bored.

    Cons

There is so much gossiping I thought I was back in high school. And it is coming from everyone, including managers. There are people in management or supervisory positions who do not do their job, except when they feel like it. These people then make a point of complaining about things not bring done or feeling under appreciated in their roles. And hardworking from associates often seems disregarded; it doesn't really inspire someone to put forth the extra effort if you're treated like crap afterwards.

    Advice to Management

Don't just talk about what is wrong with other associates or supervisors, especially with your other associates. It makes people worry what you say when they aren't there, as well as, breeding a sense of high school into the workplace. Just because we are selling to teenagers doesn't mean we should act like them. You should also value the associates that work hard, not just the one you hang out with outside of work.
