I have been working at Victoria's Secret full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I love working for the L Brands company because the have their values and beliefs and try their best to uphold them. They also promote from within so you are able to grow with the company. Great discount.

    Cons

The management team is inconsistent, their rules and policies are constantly changing and not in the better for the associates. They have basically diminished the commission incentive which is unfair to those that are use to making a certain amount of money. They hourly pay is okay but the commission is most people bread and butter. The employees bags are checked daily to make sure there is no internal theft going on, but they let external theft happen everyday, all day. The store i work at don’t believe in a work/life balance and even expect part-time employees to give them all of their time.

    Pros

Solid pay, opportunities for growth, if you want to be in retail this is the place to do it. Great focus around the internal and external customer

    Cons

Feels like company is trying to find its footing after upper leadership changes, still in the learning phase. Can feel a bit unstable/inconsistent

    Advice to Management

Don’t forget to invest in your SLT teams—continued training, opportunities outside of your store etc.

I have been working at Victoria's Secret part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

At my store we’re like a big family, and it’s a very enjoyable line of work. It’s awesome to help women find bras that not only fit well but also give them confidence and make them feel sexy.

    Cons

Victoria’s Secret can sometimes be very stressful, more often than not it’s busy and there is always lots of work to be done.

    Advice to Management

In my store specifically, the management is pretty awesome. They do a great job of giving employees feedback and recognition where it is deserved.

I have been working at Victoria's Secret part-time

    Pros

co-workers and customers are great! Relaxed during the week, busy on weekends.

    Cons

Learning about product and company is in your own hands. There are video modules every month, but to really understand the product, you have to do a lot of teaching on your own. You never ever leave on time. Ever.

    Advice to Management

Make sure all management is on the same page.
