I have been working at Victoria's Secret part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Pleasant staff.
    Competitive wages
You get a ton of hours to work

    Cons

There was always one manager that hated their job and made things more difficult than they had to be.
    Unpleasant customers.
Lazy coworkers(very few were lazy) made it harder for others picking up their slack.

    Advice to Management

Take more time finding associates who really want to do their job and not just get their paycheck. Offer more intensive onboarding training and more career opportunities to inspire employees.

I have been working at Victoria's Secret part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get a lot of gratis from this company, the discounts are fantastic. The people you work with are usually extremely fun.

    Cons

The management doesn't value their employees who actually work hard. Favorites are always picked. They are not flexible to employees who are in school or have kids. The hours are always very scattered.

    Advice to Management

Start valuing and praising your good employees. Don't pick favorites. Listen to people's availability.

I have been working at Victoria's Secret part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great working around school schedules.

    Cons

Constantly reminded you're replaceable and forced to think you need the job more than the job needs you. Long hours, frequently 3-4 hours passed scheduled shift at closing. Frequently short staffed as the company tries to cut payroll far too close.

    Advice to Management

Management is not at fault. They do the best with the hand their are dealt. The problems lie further above on the corporate ladder.

    Pros

Fun environment, Commission opportunity if goals are met

    Cons

Shoplifters, expect to stay at least an hour past the time you are scheduled, must be “cheerfully aggressive” when selling, pretty much beg people to sign up for the Angels Credit card, a lot of times sales aren’t fair (other workers will take it last minute), not a lot of opportunity to move up

    Advice to Management

Be fair, don’t play favorites, and keep everyone happy.

    I worked at Victoria's Secret part-time

    Pros

You become very close to the people you work with.

Visual Manager is great and the cash wrap managers are wonderful.

    Cons

Hours: Waking up at 5 am and getting off around 11 am or starting at 9pm and getting off at 6am.

A lot of unprofessional people work there and talk badly about other people who work there and the management constantly.

Negative environment. Everyone speaks about quitting.

    Advice to Management

Give more direction and follow up more often to keep the employees from talking so badly about the company. it only makes people who enjoy their job feel badly about it.
