I worked at Victoria's Secret part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The gratis and discounts were fun.

    Cons

I've worked for multiple store locations and had no problems. But the Country Club Plaza store in Kansas City, MO was the worst.

Commission was decent. But it all depends on who you are, how long you've been at a store, and how different you look. Your commission relies on the customers. If a customer is in too big of a rush and doesn't tell the cashier your name at the register, you won't get that commission. If the customer says "Oh the girl with the long blonde hair," and there's 3 girls working with long blonde hair.. you won't get your commission. It's all just a big scam.

The theft is another story. Nothing is worse than working at a nice place like VS to get threatened every day, to get tased, and spit on. It's disgusting. Unfortunately the horrible customers had a huge impact on me leaving the company after 5+ years.

I have been working at Victoria's Secret part-time

    Pros

The monthly gratis is very enjoyable. Who doesn't love free things? From the free bras to the discounted apparel this company shows staff appreciation.

    Cons

The pay rates should increase. Improved loss prevention policy because shrinkage rate is high. There are not many cons. If you enjoy people you'll enjoy working here

    Advice to Management

I worked at Victoria's Secret part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Discount on cute clothes, freebies, good co workers (at least at my location), if you want hours they can definitely get you some

    Cons

All management is a joke don't ever expect them to uphold the "rules", so many call outs from team members, high expections low incentives

    Advice to Management

If you aren't going to enforce the policies when there's an angry customer tell your cashier ahead of time so they don't stand there telling them the rules only to have you step in and give them exactly what they wanted and make you look bad

I have been working at Victoria's Secret part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The Discount is alright you get 20% off on full priced items and 30% off after 30 days of working there (for seasonal/part time associates)
The job is fairly easy ..you just fold panties all day while assisting customers or at the cash wrap ringing up items

    Cons

Barely get any hours and sometimes managers will call you in
last minute to ask you to come in for a closing or overnight shift.
    Scheduling sucks
Barely any training ..just a learn as you go job.
Bra Measurements sometimes come out wrong because of the way they teach you how to do it (my suggestion is to look up how to measure for bras)

    Advice to Management

Train your staff and have more organized scheduling

I have been working at Victoria's Secret part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The customers are absolutely amazing at times, sure we get some rude customers from time to time but usually, they're very mindfull and willing to look at new items. The connections and the regulars I have are the reasons why I stay.

    Cons

The managers can be really pushy at times. Our store has very high goals and sometimes they step on us in order to reach it. They're always yelling in our walkie (hence the reason we sometimes get glassy-eyed somtimes; they're yelling at us, sorry!). There are times when it's slow and there's nothing we can do about it. There's also quite a bit of drama that can happen.

    I worked at Victoria's Secret full-time

    Pros

High pay for most positions. Lots of training available if you are proactive and actually interested in learning.

    Cons

They have very high expectations and in turn very high turnaround including in management.
