I worked at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good discounts if you're into VS merchandise. Sometimes, like, once a month they had additional higher discounts for employees for clearance items or a specific dept of the store, which was nice.

Very accommodating around a school schedule.

    Cons

Like most retail jobs, the salary doesn't start very high, however, if you show incentive and high sales, (my) Mgmt asked if I was interested in applying for an Asst Mgr position.

The majority of the customers to the store were nice, but there were always a few who try to return used intimate items knowing they cannot be returned.

Crazy-nuts during the holidays or during any promoted undie sales.

Customers often have very little regard for the merchandise, leaving items trampled on or damaged in the dressing rooms.

    Advice to Management

I had a very good mgr at my store who was professional, but also personable. The Asst under her was a bit catty, and often enjoyed relegating petty, almost demeaning jobs to me, like getting on my hands and knees to clean the bottom of t-stands that, clearly, weren't dirty, or sticking me in the stock room to count huge boxes of panties for no reason, as we weren't even doing inventory. These random acts of malice always happened when I was dressed better than her. Her senseless acts were strictly to belittle. With that, I would suggest that upper mgmt hire asst's who can do the job - but also have a good heart, and not take personal insecurities out on their subordinates.

    I worked at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time

    Pros

    Great discounts & gratis.

    Cons

Call-In System in 2013 was terrible. You would only know if you were working 2(-) hours before the shift. I think they've changed this policy since my time. I was supposed to be part-time and they stopped scheduling shifts for me without notice. I'd get one call-in shift every month and when I'd call they'd say "We don't need you".

    Advice to Management

Schedule current employees appropriately and sufficiently rather than hiring new people all the time.
