    Pros

Excellent reputation for quality in watches and SAK. Customers of those products are untapped brand advocates.

    Cons

USA Only - dysfunctional company with a hierarchical culture that silences innovation and insight that threatens the jobs and reputation of Directors and VP's.

    Advice to Management

Swiss replace USA C-levels. Poor performance is covered up to Swiss Management with explanations of retail decline and smart phone sales. No acknowledgement of stagnant relationships with retailers, ineffective marketing (2015 prior) and frightened middle management.

I worked at Victorinox Swiss Army full-time

    Pros

nothing really interesting in the company

    Cons

unorganized management throughout the apparel office division.

    Advice to Management

The company has layed off their apparel division from New York City. This company is extremely unorganized and don't care about their workers.

The co-workers are great group of people.

    Cons

The management talks down to employees and no room for growth internally. The company is cheap and throws abysmal parties.

    Advice to Management

Learn to listen to the people on the bottom instead of doing what the people from up top tell you

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Victorinox Swiss Army (Less than a year)

    Pros

Victorinox Swiss Army values their employees. From the moment I received my offer letter, through my onboarding, and even after my 90-day review I have felt and continue to feel that my employer cares about me as an employee and a person. My coworkers in my department and other departments within the organization have made me feel welcome and I am very impressed with the benefits given to employees including a 401k that I am fully vested in after only 90 days of employment! In a political society that is changing medical coverage and putting more financial responsibility on employees Victorinox Swiss Army still provides excellent medical coverage and is invested in the health and well-being of their employees. They have an excellent blend of experienced employees that have been here for over 20 years and new employees that plan on being here for just as long. Whether employed in the Distribution Center or at the Senior Executive level there is a sense of happiness and passion for the work being done. I would recommend Victorinox Swiss Army to anyone interested in working for an organization with a reputation to be proud of that is passionate about their people and products.

    Cons

Not necessarily a downside, the company is going through some changes at the moment to enhance their products and competitive placement.

I worked at Victorinox Swiss Army full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some very strong individual workers who go far beyond company standards to accomplish goals.

    Cons

Poor Upper management strategies and very bad communication between groups.

    Advice to Management

Pick a strategy. Either Retail is there to support wholesale, or wholesale must follow retail's lead, Improve communication between global markets.

I worked at Victorinox Swiss Army part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice products, but you could get the same quality at a more reasonable price. The hours were good.

    Cons

There is no real incentive to working there, if you are a part time employee; means you never get a raise, no vacation time, no health benefits, no bonus incentive (you may get the occasional high 5) Managements attitude is, you should be glad that you have a job, or that's retail, or you knew what the job was when you took it, (which is not really true). There is a total, and I mean total lack of communication, and disconnect between the store manager and the sales associate. nothing is ever told to us and there were never any meetings. I was with the company for about two yrs. and during that time we had a total of 2, count them 2 meeting, which were mandatory by corporate. A very cold environment, I always felt that I was competing with my managers for a sale. If I were corporate or upper management, I would really question why they are paying managers to be (glorified) sales people. Since working for the company I've seen at least 20 or more employees come and go, (9 out of 10 left on their own).

    Advice to Management

I think the Company should really take a look at the store managers and find out why so many employees are leaving and they should think long and hard on how he could improve the working conditions.
