I have been working at Victra- Authorized Verizon Retailer full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Selling the best carrier and phones, lots of different products to sell. Decent commision structure and room to advance into management.

    Cons

Your commision is based off of goal set up by the company that usually 6% higher year over year instead of every 2 years which is normally when people upgrade, every 2 years. So the goals can get to be ridiculously high sometimes while ypur customer traffic goes down and if you dont hit at least 75% of that goal you don't get paid. Imagine selling 14 phones out of a goal of 20. You made the company 2300$ profit but they don't pay you a dime of that since 14 out of 20 isnt 75%. And then next pay period it starts all over. If your not making commision the only pay you get is hourly and that's usually only 8$ an hr. If you don't make commision good luck making your car payment for the month

    Advice to Management

Make the goals more realistic, it's almost like we are set up to fail.

I worked at Victra- Authorized Verizon Retailer full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Well stocked in products compared to other retailers, good benefits, competitive workplace with incentive competitions frequent and frequent manager training.

    Cons

Continually cutting commission contribution without increasing hourly wage, store management unable to take time off including for regular days off or sick time.

    Advice to Management

Allow locations to staff better so no store is chronically understaffed, or have a hiring department that sends pre screened and qualified staff to store managers instead of 500 subpar resumes a week added on top of normal duties

Victra loves to promote from within, and has amazing benifits

    Cons

The sales goals are unrealistic and they are prone to “Ready fire Aim” roll out processes for programs and promos

    Pros

Coworkers are fun to work with a lot of change and growrh

    Cons

Clicky middle management to the point it is juvenile, constant conflict with controllers and other upper management. Small enough 1 person makes life miserable. Going through a lot of change and growth causes stress.

I have been working at Victra- Authorized Verizon Retailer full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, realistic 15-day sales goals, hourly plus commission, partnership with Verizon (plans might be slightly more expensive than other cell services, but it really is the best network, so it's very easy to sell), lots of growth opportunities, good benefits, discount on accessories and plans

    Cons

Smaller stores are more restricted on hours (you'll get over 30, but not a full 40), some district managers are a little pushy and have some unrealistic expectations, core products can be difficult to sell, and the whole process that you're expected to go through with each customer to pitch them these products can be lengthy and can upset some customers

    Advice to Management

Keep expectations realistic. Celebrate wins more than just saying "Boom" when a rep posts a good sale. Don't degrade reps for not getting enough sales when traffic is down. If conversion is up, along with accessories, and gross profit, they're doing their best.
