    Pros

As part of Danaher, this 4000+ employee organization offers a variety of growth and professional development opportunities for those who seek them out. The culture is a truly global organization that embraces its diversity. Employee engagement varies, but they make a genuine effort to improve on a daily basis.

Videojet offers an excellent benefits and PTO package that start on day 1 of hire. The Wood Dale facility offers a free gym and a heavily subsidized cafeteria for employees.

    Cons

Videojet is a numbers driven organization that is very focused on results. You may have to stretch further than you thought possible to achieve the goals laid out for you. The organizational structure is also complex and difficult to understand at times.

    Advice to Management

Step back from the numbers on occasion and focus on qualitative measures that can improve culture and work/life balance. Recognize all the individuals that go above and beyond for you. The growth you strive for will come naturally.

I worked at Videojet Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

benefits are great, you receive a free car with free gas for field service, 401k matching

    Cons

long unpaid for hours (i'm talking 10-12 hours a week unpaid for) that will almost definitely violate your states labor laws when it comes to commuting from a work at home job. business ethics tend to fade on the field service level, and you end up working with highly dangerous volatile chemicals for around 6-8 hours a day with minimal protection. there is also NO advancement. you can do the same field service job for decades without promotion to a different position.

    Advice to Management

no advice. management lives far away and is completely removed from day to day dealings

I worked at Videojet Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Longevity with job security if you perform to their standards or make yourself irreplaceable. All team members understand the hardships so they understand when you say you simply don't have time.

    Cons

Depending on your position in the company you can kiss your personal life good bye. Expect long days and weekend hours spent on projects or numbers. A true example of a company environment when you take a vacation you never get away or if you do expect the following days to be 10-12 hour days. Many departments are understaffed for as many projects and installation that are performed every year, always playing catch-up on project.

    Advice to Management

Management isn't the problem it's the top tier approvals. You cannot keep members over worked and traveling none stop without just about every department understaffed. I am not sure I even understand the concept of vacation anymore.

I worked at Videojet Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Senior management are highly experienced and talks about values, ethics and compliance. The compliance rules are very strict and reasonable if applied properly in the business at the best interest of the organization.

    Cons

They have high ego between themselves, sometimes drives devastating results inviting the negative brand image of the organization in the market letting the competition to take the full milage of it as a competitive edge.

    Advice to Management

To educate people to help to simplify the deals instead of making it more critical.
