I have been working at View, Inc. full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Love the way the company is leveraging the core technology and expanding with additional products and services to attract and retain customers. Can see a lot of potential in the company if we execute well. The product itself is cool and one that anyone can connect with. Experienced and extremely self-motivated co-workers make for a great team.

    Cons

Growing pains as the company expands fast - some of the processes are not quite established. Tons of work to do, which might make for poor work-life balance. But at the same time, can be an excellent learning experience if one is up for it.

I have been working at View, Inc. full-time

    Pros

Product concept is cool, but is unlikely to be successful in the long run.

    Cons

The environment is very hostile and management leads by fear and unrealistic expectations. Constant bickering and finger pointing prevents product fixes and improvements and decreases the ability to achieve success. Poor work-life balance-Employees are expected to work around the clock and be available 24/7 at the drop of a dime should an “emergency” occur. Evenings with friends or family, weekends, holidays, and vacations are non-exsistant. If you don’t make yourself available and immediately accessible during your own personal time be prepared to be publicly berated at the next team meeting and possibly even fired. Each and every negative review is 110% accurate. Every now and then the CEO puts out a call to employees to post positive Glassdoor reviews because the truth about this company hurts his ratings. Coming to this company earlier this year has brought zero joy. Managers don’t manage, they dictate, and you are just a pawn in their game of office politics.

I have been working at View, Inc. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Mission oriented company, employees genuinely believe in the company's misison and want to change the world. - Simple, elegant product that people "get" right away - Extremely talented, hard working, motivated, and positive employees. Truly entrepreneurial: most employees willingly jump in and do whatever it takes to succeed. - Have hired seasoned executives to make this a billion dollar company. Processes and scalability are improving quickly!

    Cons

    - Not for the faint of heart; if you want work/life balance, this may not be for you.

I have been working at View, Inc. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - On the bleeding edge of technology on a sector which lags technology historically - Friendly environment committed to customer success - Driving the revolution to change how spaces around us evolve - Has a lot of potential - You get due credits - You can be the change

    Cons

    - Salaries are somewhat at par, mostly below industry standards - As the company is scaling not everyone will sustain the grind. Some mentoring needed at all levels for people to scale up - Its bleeding edge for a sector which has conventionally lacked adoption so a lot of back and forth on trivial issues - Benefits like 401k matching can be improved - There is a lot to be done and hence if you own it, you will miss out on the work life balance - but then you are in for changing the world - Some politics
