    I worked at ViewSonic full-time

    Pros

    Small company atmosphere
James Chu is a marketing genius with an incredible memory for everything

    Cons

    No advancement
Heavy Chinese management (if you are an American, you will never advance)
Poor product quality (they don't make their own stuff)
    Management likes to micro-manage everything
Management believes that it is okay to save face

    Advice to Management

James Chu should replace all of the other managers. Just pick a name from the phonebook - odds are that they will be better than what you have now.

    I worked at ViewSonic full-time

    Pros

Can learn a lot about many different roles in a sort period of time
    Benefits are pretty good

    Cons

HR team is in upper management's pocket
The company is failing because upper management doesn't know how to run a company.
    No room for advancement
You will do many different roles but you will not be asked you will be told to do it without title change or an increase
    Pay is poor
    Raises are poor or nonexistent
Everyday your hair is on fire and something must get done NOW there is no forethought for anything.
ViewSonic won't be around much longer with the way things are running

    Advice to Management

    Upper management needs a revamp
Allow your great employees to do what they were hired to do
Don't micromanage if you have no idea what you are doing and do not understand the process
Value your employees and show them they are valued
Pay your employees what they are worth and stop using so many outside agencies and you might save a little money

    Pros

Great people to work with, everyone always comes together like a family and works on meeting the task at hand.

    Cons

There is no advancement available in the company; if your not close to upper management or married to them then your stuck where you are.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to hire laterally and look at the people at the bottom that WANT to move up.

I worked at ViewSonic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Better-than-average salary. But it's catch. Your workload is double.

    Cons

Always under-resourced because new people come and go quickly. Old staff keep working because they're good at their job, or not able to change job because of financial incentive. Check how long and how often a job is posted in recruitment site. These jobs are highly not recommended.
No advancement at all because old guys do not want to take any possible risk. And they still think their ideas are the greatest.

    Advice to Management

A non-public company, as long as there has a steady income for the CXOs and higher management, no one want to make a change. And yes, CEO has many different incomes, and this company is just a small part for him.

    Pros

Chance to work with a good brand and quality product line. In return, general binifits and remuneration packages are acceptable.

    Cons

You may feel insecure on the job, can get surprised anytime. Business process is over looked to have sales.....

    Advice to Management

Believe in your employees and give them space to move around. You can do better through proper distribution channel.

    I worked at ViewSonic full-time

    Pros

Work from home, flexible schedule, decent pay for the amount of work done

    Cons

The company didn't seem to have an idea of the direction they wanted to go. Senior management didn't always get along and constant bickering and bitching about senior staff was always ongoing. Very little back end support from the "specialists" who often didn't have answers or would get confused on conference calls. Pricing and inventory was always an issue. Many deals would be lost because an answer about inventory would go unanswered. Very little brand marketing outside of the IT industry. Many customers had never heard of the brand and thought it was a knock off 3rd party brand that they could buy at Best Buy.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to your employees and don't just pretend to. Many employees are in positions they are not qualified or suited for. Promote the brand!!
